![]() ![]() ![]() | lol. well practice makes perfect. Ive only recently learnt. Been trying some animations. It's damn hard to get character walking cycle looking nice and lip-sync is pretty damn hard too. I'll show you some cartoon animations sometime when I get round to finishing some. Now back to awaiting a decision here.... |

![]() | I just thought i would clear something up.this is a topic that i have researched thouroghly (as should any designer). As far as copyright infringement is concerned, you CAN legally take someone elses work and modify it as long as it is modified to a point that therefore makes it a new piece. A judge in a court of law will rule that as long as the original image and the modified version are not identifiable to one another it is considered to be a new work of art and therefore ruling in favor of the person who did not create the original. looking at this thread i dont believe that is what happened and personally under no circumstances would i take someone elses work. Appologies for going way off topic from the point but since it became discussion I thought i could clear that up for up and coming designers. If any one would like to contest this info i can supply the court ruling reference case if you would like.. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | However, for some copyrighted material it is illegal to aquire it unless legally paid for. So im sure unless you can persuade that it was not an edited copy of the material and based on, I think you could get into trouble like that? Am I right? Ive always pondered about these laws but never took time to read into them. |

![]() | Basicly In a Book i Have they use an analogy, for instance if there is a nice picture of a sky and you take that to use as a background image that is infringement.but if you sample a small portion of the sky and use it as an element you can get away with it. rule of thumb is . if a random person can look at both designs and imediatly recognize the stolen element you are screwed. but if the modified version goes so far where that random person can not recognize it you are fine. |
