How can I change adsense so that it doesn't just display site related ads?
You see I put adsense on a general chat forum, and I want to just display general things like electronics etc.

Please register or log-in into NamePros to hide ads

I don't believe that there is a way to do that. You could ban all of the related URLs, but that would leave you with PSAs. Google wants to show products related to yours.

Adsense is about contextual advertising, not about displaying ads that are the most expensive (See your "electronics" mention above ).

There are ways, but you have to be a premium publisher.

If you want ads that don't display anything remotely related to your content try ValueClick. As I run a content website I don't have much competition (a product that replaces mine) displayed in AdSense, so I like the related ads. I ditched ValueClick because of this, I don't like ads that don't pertain remotely to my website.

If you some sort of product being sold you shouldn't place AdSense ads on that page because you're giving competition an open area to display their product right on your web page.

No, its about getting the best clickthru rate.

besides, I don't see the problem with trying to earn money, as long as you do not do incentified clicks.
