A classic example of how end user sales go. That's a great sale and even with the counter offer I bet your ROI is well over 100%?! These sales are exactly why I love this business

Thanks for the word bud, I just realized that if we can "stop dreaming" about $xxx, xxx figures for once and stick to reality with genuine $xxx-$xxxx figures, we will accomplish much more and have more end user sales (mind you, everyone out there is not a millionaire and would avoid spending $xxx, xxx for just a name, IMHO)

That narrows it down quite a bit, only four possibilities

We're very happy with it, yeah. For a ccTLD it's a good score, especially in the .net.au, but that being said the end user has incredible/huge uses for the domain and it's gone to a great home. Very happy with the price.

Great news - well done. Record for a net.au
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=83628

I presume you can disclose once transaction is settled? If so, please report to DNJournal and anywhere else you can.

Still far too many quiet .au sales going on - I want to see a bit more publicity!

Congrats once more

We actually can't say at all what the domain is unfortunately, and we've even probably said too much. It'll become fairly obvious if you're in Australia soon enough, and it'll take a little bit until it's in full use. The domain is going to a good home.

The sale is confirmed at this point and the deposit is sorted, the whole deal will be settled shortly. It'd hurt for $x,xxx deposit retained if they backed out before then. I'll let you know the full details if I'm eventually allowed to disclose it.

Also, might have some more stuff to write up here later on today for some other domains.

EDIT: Actually just removed the clue about what the domain is. Might have given out a bit too much info at this point.

A package deal

I don't know if this counts or not, but I sold 7 domain names for $12,000 and the buyer will be making payments of $1500 a month for 8 months. While they are making payments they get to use the domain names, and when payment is completed the domains will be transferred.

two dot tv's

one .net

one .im

I'm pretty damn excited.

it seems a great deal. congrats!

it's good to make a deal isn't it?

one question however. I never made a "phased deal". are you using an escrow for each payment?

regards,
tonecas

PS: if possible, in the end of the process disclouse the domain names.

A buyer has contacted me via email for one of my domains, we've come to an agreement at $1250.

Now the buyer insists on using escrow.com.
I've never dealt with escrow.com, I always use Sedo or Paypal.

Now my question is:

Has anyone from Europe dealt with Escrow.com, if so, did you choose to receive payment via International bank transfer or by cheque?

I can't seem to fill in my bank details correctly, it's just really confusing, that is if you don't have a US bank account...
So cheque would be my favored option...

Now has anyone received a cheque from Escrow.com outside USA and manage to cash it in without any problems? And vice versa through international bank transfer?

Thanks in advance for the help guys.
Thanks, repped everyone that responded to this!

Continuing with this, buyer responded saying that he needs to take final approval and will get back to me this coming week.

Another end user sale expected for low $xxx as I sent few emails around seeking interest for reg fee pick up from this forum, and buyer sent an email offering a low $xxx price. I sat on it for few minutes thinking if I should take the offer or counter it, however my gut feeling forced me to accept it and buyer will be completing the transaction in a weeks time when he gets back from vacation as he about to shut down his computer when he received my offer acceptance email.

Interestingly, buyer still asked for verifiable proof of ownership even though I'd offered him to push the domain name before sending money.

Hope everyone's having good time!!

Did you perhaps sell it to a Dutch End-User?

Because "zal" is the 1st, 2nd & 3rd singular tense of "zullen" in Dutch, which means "going" in English.
