ripley.
That would be annoying, but I just wish I could make a sale on GoDaddy; I must be doing something wrong. I've sold over 200 names on SEDO and Afternic in the last year or so and exactly 0 on TDNAM.... not even a nibble... Do you have any tips? Lol. I'd pretty much discounted them and decided that the only sales being made were the expired ones they were offering themselves.

She is referring to GoDaddy premium listings, not TDNAM auctions:
What are Premium Listings? - GoDaddy Help Center, Search the GoDaddy Knowledge Base

The two are completely different.

FYI, you could have gotten much more than that. GoDaddy's Domain Buy Service costs the potential buyer $60 to use, whether or not you end up accepting the buyer's final offer.

Federer, care to share a few selling tips? how did you find an end-user/buyer so shortly after?

I'm surely not the only one wanting to know!

Yes, it was a drop. The domain cost me $59 with a backorder. I think $800 is still a good sales price and a great/fast ROI. I don't look holding too many domains and prefer to get a nice ROI and re-invest the profits the next day on 10 more domains that I can flip for $300 to $800 each.
Find the end users is the easy part - I just keyed in RecycledPackaging.com into the Google Search Bar... then it's an easy task of cherry-picking what I consider to be the top contenders that could benefit from owning the keyword domain.

RecycledPackaging.... I have to agree that 800.00 seems like a pretty low price on this one and likely helped in the quick sale, but the profit margin was great as well, which is where it really counts. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Federer,

so you just contacted an end user. I'm amazed at the speed with which you got this done. Then again, I'm a noob at this, so it might not be so strange. Good job!

I agree 800$ in a couple of days is good ROI/time.

Bye,

Matt

If they were parked at sedo, the fee should be 10%, so 100.00 and 16.00 should be the SEDO fees.

I wanted to note too that I've been seeing posts from people who claim that you have to have a domain parked for 32 days to get the reduction and I know from personal experience that you can change it over even after an offer is made and still get the deduction. I've done that over 20 times in the previous 6 months alone.
