However, add cloud, and you're talking about "hosting" and that, my friend, starts getting you into the realms of "confusion".

The generic term argument has been used a million times. What I can tell you is that every WIPO Ive read where that argument was made AFTER the domain was solicited for offers has ended up as a loss (I haven't read a respondent claim you contacted a large number of generic companies based on criteria other than the potential mark? in part because that may violate the Anti Spam act...lol)

Strangely enough I'm not sure what would happen if something like this were to be a UDRP filing as there seems to be a number of hosting companies with some version of "blue chip" in their name - so I guess he who owns a TM and UDRPs first would win ?

A little off topic.

The main point I was making was that if you take any TM and add CLOUD to it you will still "cause confusion" if the TM is in any business related to computing/hosting imho. People should be aware and price / solicit accordingly. Don't go registering BlackBerryCloud, JuniperCloud and think you've established a new "brandable" non TM name by adding cloud to a generic.

Yes but I registered the domain as a stock market term that defines a company with certain traits. The fact that the bluechip company existed was by luck. I found out about the company after I registered the domain

An army of clouds, meaning many many clouds at your disposal. Which makes sense if you use a cloud broker to move your hosting around to the lowest cost current provider as prices vary. So might be good if cloudbroking takes off.
