Decent... I suppose

I guess I expect too much from these companies. GoDaddy has a pretty easy to use "interface," and the prices are great, but I just feel like they're a hassle a lot of the time.

When it comes to interface, GoDaddy is one of the worst registrars I've ever used. It is a nightmare for those who are accepting multiple domain transfers from other users, or pushing multiple domains to others. It involves alot of clicking, and can be a hassle sometimes. I agree, they have good prices and great deals, but until they create a better and easy to use interface, I'm sticking to another registrar. They accept PayPal, but you must be a premier member to pay (that's because premier members have a virtual credit card #).

I'm satisfied with the services. No problem so far. They even have a promotional offer right now, $2 for .com domain.

Maybe not the easiest or functional, but if you have the promo codes, quite definately the cheapest, So until that has changed they'll be my only Registrar.

Yup if only the sole thing they offered was "traffic stats" (for the 5.19 domain) godaddy would be the best.

GoDaddy used to compete for business. Looks like GoDaddy decided to concentrate on the end user market. Once anyone works with a variety of domain registrars, not much needs to be learned about what to do with a domain name. Price speaks for 98% of our business and GoDaddy is getting beat, yet GoDaddy does not care. Most of their services are geared toward customers with limited or no knowledge. We admire GoDaddy for what they have been able to accomplish. We see GoDaddy having integrity and clear accounting. But the fact that our GoDaddy account went from 70+ down to less than 5 domain names in one year ought to say those transfer requests were for a reason. Business is business, nothing personal.

Poor Service

I hate the service at godaddy, they are never helpfull and don't offer a toll free number. I switched to 1and1.com and LOVE it

Great registrar.. one of my favourites.. I like them because they are nice to their customers! they are a bit slow (especially on dial-up) but hey, would you rather have good customer support or not?

Great price but too much AD.

The only problem: Way too much ADs while you register a domain.

And limited subdomains and email address aliases.

I read in another post that its allowed by GD for us to enjoy this great savings. So why not

name.com allows a lot more dns management for domains than godaddy
like custom mx recors, soa authrisation and all which are much useful for people who run a hosting company
Also they took 48 hours to reply to my query where most leading domain sellers do quickly
I can rate them an average

Who's your daddy now?

GoDaddy:
I don't have 3 thumbs to use them all - facing down - or I would have done it.

Actually a Pain!

Come on we all know the only reason we buy from Godaddy.com is because the're cheap! That's it. They are painful, and there customer service sucks. I've bought a ton of domains from them and they are always painful on the phone, and always harassing. There phone support staff needs training---badly!

I'm checking out others to move too.

Yep, the other day I bought a domain name from someone who had registered it at godaddy & while we were transfering we had problems. So I emailed them and it took over 7hrs to respond to the 1st email and I had to email them twice with the same time frame for them to respond. So it took well over 14hrs to resolve a problem a very small problem.

I run a domain/hosting business as well which is much/much smaller then godaddy and 14hrs for us is 100% unacceptable.

Perhaps godaddy staff is grumpy because there overloaded... hense the 7hrs waiting period or rude phone calls! Godaddy maybe you should consider hiring more staff??
