I hope G buys it. They'll speed up the website and get rid of all of the crap upsells.

He also said the company, of which he is the majority shareholder, is worth "well in excess of a $1 billion."
Glad to hear he's not commenting... just giving a baseline valuation.

Can we see how it ends in their uncensored video online? Perhaps on their Godaddy.TV site.. juss fer a laff.

Any company is for sale if the price is right. GoDaddy made no secret of that when they were attempting to go public a couple of years ago. That is when everyone got to have a look inside the books to see they were operating at a loss.

Bob Parsons has done well to insure GoDaddy is an important company by building the biggest share of the domain registrations and hosting market. As a fortune cookie would say... "there is a big payday in his future!"

Google or Amazon are two companies that would really put an interesting spin on GoDaddy were they to buy it out. In both cases I expect they would rebrand the company to the mothership (i.e: Google Domains / Amazon Domain Services) and attempt to infuse their corporate culture into it.

Cisco, HP, Oracle, Microsoft, and IBM...

Why not WAL-MART? They've done stranger things than sell web hosting.

Think about it.
Wal Mart.
No need to go online, just stop by your local wally world and purchase all the domains you want, hosting, etc...
And all at our every day low pricing!

Say, that's not a bad thought. You can put bread, cigs and a long-tail .com in the same shopping cart.

Better yet, maybe wally world would have domains on auction.
So many per store.

And those that don't sell at auction?
They drop into a clearance bin....

Hahahahaha...oh the possibilities if wally world bought godaddy.

I'll start the bidding at $5 for Namepros.com, and I'll throw in a slim jim and snickers to keep some continuity to the thread.
