Cheer up!
Please list:
1) name of CMS

MyBB*
*MyBB is a powerful free forum which can easily be used as a type of CMS.

2) why (Pros)

  • Easy for newbies
  • Powerful options for advanced users
  • Fast
  • Stable
  • Secure (FYI: all software has past security issues, MyBB is very fast to issue updates when needed)
  • Fun to learn and use
  • A growing number of people actually claim to like MyBB better than the expensive VB forum software.
  • Well designed admin area is easy to navigate.
  • MyBB is also a wonderful framework to learn PHP coding.
  • The plugin system works really well and the various plugins rarely have any conflicts.
  • Many free plugins, and some great commercial ones too.
    ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/website-development/645747-what-is-your-favourite-cms.html

3) Thing you dislike about it if any (Cons)

The community is really very friendly once you get to know them; Some people (unfairly) claim they are "a bit mean."
MyBB's product is fantastic and the community is not nearly as bad as I've seen some people claim at other forums.

Try MyBB just once and you might quickly start to "be amazed".

FYI: How to use MyBB as a flexible & powerful CMS?
  • Simple answer >> Just set up several private sub-forums (categories) where you are the only one who can post. Some can be completely private (for saving drafts and rough copies), others can be viewable by the public.

I think I love CMS because of WordPress.

It's a fantastic platform to work with. Drupal is not bad either)

I'll have to go with wordpress myself because it has endless possibilities, they keep up on it, large community, is the most popular, tons of plugins.

I'll also say that bitweaver looks promising and has some unique qualities the other cms don't have. Like built in multiple wiki, forums, blogs, galleries, conversions into pdf, documents and so on. Is worth checking it out.
