OK so I could with my 50 % have an affiliate banner instead of Google Adsense, then switch it back to Adsense if the affiliate program not converting. How much does it cost to buyout the inventory and then go back to 50/50 ?

Guys, as I mentioned earlier I have know Steve for a few years already. Magnify is nothing like Demand Media. Steve is one of the leaders in the online video space and to be honest there are bigger companies then his (ie. YouTube) who is still trying to figure out a monetization model that works. Every week I read industry news that talk about trying to find a way to successfully monetize online video content. While Magnify has probably not cracked it yet (but I'm sure they will one day) I can tell you that they are an honest company and have a great reputation and I will stand by them 100%.

I know its frustrating as we all want to make money with our .tv's, but their is no magic formula. So far the only ones that have been successful with .tv's are those that have properly developed theit sites.

Welcome to the forum Steve, good to see you here.

Steven getting an endorsement from Richard is a big deal here. How much to buy out the ad space and switch back to 50/50 ? Thank you

Richard I agree and am not asking Magnify.net to perform magic just want to know that the site owner has the flexibility to do what they like with their website. I can honestly say I never liked Magnify when talked about here in 2007 but it seems like they have improved a lot. Will definitely give Magnify a try with a couple entertainment .tv.

Steven do you know is Carson Daly transitioning to Magnify.net ?

Those examples on the homepage of Magnify.net look HORRIBLE - VERY uninspiring.

I hope new/better ones can be posted.

ChannelMe joke

Mr. Rosenbaum,

I set up a site on ChannelMe.tv for my family to share photos, video and text while living apart on 2 continents. We have been doing this for 1.5 years, so you can imagine how much content is on the channel by now. Suddenly, with only a few days notice, I receive an email about the cancellation. If I understand correctly, not only do I have to spend hours on copying & pasting text and right clicking & copying hundreds of photos (to simply save them from getting lost), but my uploaded videos will be lost, and my 5-year subscription has suddenly turned into a 1.5 year subscription - with no offer to carry over the remaining 3.5 years to your new promise land. Sure, your terms and conditions give you that right, by not only does it feel like a legal con, it also assures that I will never, ever give a penny to any business that has anything to do with yours. That offer of 2 months free feels like a slap in the face.

Shame on you.

How much did you pay for your 5 year subscription??? Did you ever spend even a penny to begin with?

Just imagine, with 10000x the number of customers like you they could have been broke months ago.
