I think good name, but If everyone thinks a lot of value what is $500 in the course of things AMCY would you have paid $500. Because I am thinking about paying that for either usc.tv or sk8.tv

Thanks to the individual who gave me a negative reputation point for voicing my opinion in this thread. It's a shame when someone gives their opinion and the individual who has a different view has to give a neg.

It was real generous. Thanks.

There are just so many possibilities

Even this e.g. http://www.joytv.org/

Imagine the call "Hi, I have the name joy . tv and wondered if you would be interested in buying it" - "Well, we dont have that much money im afraid" - "How does $40 sound" - "Oh, ok, i'll get my purse.."

Dont make me laugh, $40.... :
Why didn't they register it then, the name has been available for years.

Probably the same reason why domainers exist, new TLD's exist, pool exists, drop club exists, auctions, niche markets and the like etc etc - that being if everyone was efficient enough to buy up all available / valuable names and not regged turkeys, then this would be a non-existant industry.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=58196

By default, 3 letter .tv's are premium names (min price $500). The point of this thread (or at least the tone imho) is that AM managed to bag this name at $29. Which, frankly, is both amazing and fabulous (all at the same time).

So, appraising the name (where the reg fee is $500) at $40-$100 is well.... you make your own mind up.

And as ChrisV mentioned above, whoever the lame ass is that neg repped him for what hes written on this post thus far, then shame on you

Have a good week all.....

I suppose it would be if you discount CN.tv ($30,000) and a number of other significant sales this year that are not in the public domain

ah nicely found, got this from dnjournal,

"Sedo's share of that third position is also an interesting story. They tuned in their 30K with a two-letter .tv! CN.tv did the honors and accounted for the highest .tv sale that has been reported to us to date (eclipsing the $20,000 sale of Plasma.tv in May)."
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=58196

so now we have two 5 figures sales in the last three years, very nice.

You did not read my post - there have been significant .tv sales that have not been reported in the general media.

I read your post, if a sale isn't publically reported and verified there is very little point talking about it.

Oh, I see. So if a private investor approaches me with a handsome offer on my domain, and I accept, then the sale doesn't mean anything to the domain market because the figures weren't disclosed. Is that you point of view?

The majority of high end sales, irrespective of extension" in this business are not reported in the general media as most buyers/ sellers prefer to keep the sales as confidential.
I have personally had sales in excess of high $xx,xxx this year though the majority of which were not reported, I love talking about it

agree 100% that most big sales are never disclosed, but there is little point talking about unknown domains selling for unknown/unverified amounts.

Talking Let it go guys!

Hey, guys let it go. I would guess the majority of us on here agree Joy.tv is a good name, worth much more that $40. Apparently, www.GreatDomains.com thinks so too. Of course, there are those who don't like www.GreatDomains.com, but they did help one of us sell Plasma.tv, so we can't all be wrong!!! Let's stay professional, and remember that Namepros.com is the best forum around!!

Peace!!

I think Joy.tv great name but I ask this for all those who think it a great name you have all valued it at x,xxx to xx,xxx Would you pay $500 to register another like USC.tv or LSU.tv with Built in audience Major Colleges with Major TV sports programs or SK8.tv taken in every tld and just about every cctld . I think Joy worth it either way if it not worth $500 then I don't understand High appraisal should be worth regging for $30 or $500 IMO
