Way to go!

"Buscar" is what the search button says in Spanish, so it's a great .co generic.

Congrats!

$15,000! Nice sale! I'm hoping to sell my lll.co as well, but I wasn't thinking those numbers. I've set the auction start at $1

It's interesting how auction will end with this triple premium. IMO it's quite risky to sell lll.co, when start is $1.
I've sold 2 lll.co on ebay, but both of them were with "K" letter. They are not very spectacular, so I'm satisfied with price range $50-$75.

I hope this can inspire some confidence in .co speculators. It really only matters what the end user thinks...CO is for company!

ps to the .co haters, I didnt sell to a Colombian company.
That's great and I hope it's true but on these interwebz, seeing is believing. Anybody can make something up. It would have to be one of the better sales of co? Haven't paid too much attention to it and will it be mentioned somewhere?

Does anyone know what the auction for PAGE.CO ended at?
This is the one .CO name I was interested in.
I was hoping to pick it up for reg fee during general availability but it looks like it was sent to auction.

Thanks for the info with your auctions, it makes me feel better about how this one might end. Hoping the $1 opening bid gamble will pay off.

I don't have an NDA. I just thought I would wait until everything is settled before announcing officially. I could post the contract but I'd have to photoshop it to get rid of the details. I'm happy about the sale. It really doesn't make a difference if you think I made it up or not (not that you're saying that, I like to see proof too) . It just doesn't affect the sale if I prove it or not
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=573976

That said, I will be happy to tell you the domain once it's transferred and provide more details about the sale and how we came to the price. I will probably show proof to one of the prominent domain blogs rather than here on the forum. I think it is a noteworthy sale as there haven't been a lot of .co sales and this sets the bar higher and proves that .co is attractive to end users, not just Colombian ones.

It's odd because the domain in question was what led me to .co in the first place. I was looking for a domain for my upstart record label and I liked the look of .co and it wasn't taken so I jumped on it. This was just before it became open to the public. I then decided this may be a good business opportunity so I grab a few more...and a few more...rinse and repeat. I'm really stopping now though...I want to develop. It seems like a lot more fun than domaining.

I don't know about that tactic, in this case. Many times it works with .com because you are allowing the public to establish value. It might be a good idea to stay away from that method with .co.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=573976
You might end up with $1 - not because that's all its worth (clearly its worth at least $25) but because of exposure. Nonetheless, I am interested in the outcome (please post) and wish you success! It would be good for the extension if you get something reasonable.

from what I hear, "Twitter is planning on rolling out its t.co URL shortening service to all users by the end of the year". So says twitter. That means at least 60 Mill tweets per day will have .co attached them. That's big news.

Had the other person won, they may have asked 10 times the price from MySpace next year, TM issue aside. A good purchase...they missed the Sunrise (hard to believe but true!), but they still have enough cash to get what they want, so they did.

That's the best news .co has had so far in my eyes.

Then most companies use short letter .co domains to redirect to their main site..

Therefore I see LLL.CO/ Keyword/Brandable Domains and possibly LLLL.CO will be doing good these few years..

Good luck everyone!

Great, if Twitter does officially come out with T.CO, .CO WILL become popular!

Making $$,$$$ sales is not something that even experienced domainers typically achieve every day.
So when I see newcomers claiming they make big sales on the latest, ultra-speculative TLD I'm always skeptical. In particular when the circumstances are clouded in secrecy and NDA (seen it before).
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=573976
Alas, even reported sales cannot always be trusted.
Absolutely nothing personal Sir.
But it doesn't change the fact that very few people here will not be left holding the bag.

Instead you should be grateful for your luck. Because unless you can repeat that feat again and again - it will be just that: sheer luck.

Hey ctbon
.. CONGRATULATIONS on your Big Sale!!

i completely understand you do not want to jinx anything at the moment ... but are you able to answer any of these questions regarding the sale of your name... not to 'prove anything' but perhaps it's a good precursor for other names:
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=573976

• Is there an existing dot com set up?
• Is it a highly searched generic or brandable?
• How's the ad competition?... High/Med/Low?
• What's the CPC?

I grabbed 30 of them myself, a bunch that i feel very good about, and was wondering about the peripherals and how they might apply to my own names.

Thanks .. and congrats again.

- - - -

BTW.. i sold Adirondack.co on flipping for $175 ... still no payment received
