Hmmm...

Just last month, I picked up the .us version of "unity" for the price of a backorder.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/cctld-discussion/573976-co-official-discussion-showcase-sales-report.html

The buyers either have too much money and time on their hands or these are defensive buys by companies whose sunrise applications were ineligible or rejected.

I doubt very much if these prices will hold up for the long term. Don't get me wrong; I'm not a .co hater. I have a few myself, including a defensive registration of my own. But I do believe that in the long run .co will settle in as a solid ccTLD for Colombia AND a typo TLD.

I have noticed that .co plans to crack down on cybersquatters, but ONLY after buyers have plunked down their cold, hard cash.

All the onus has been placed on buyers, so due dilligence is required.

I am going to sell 5 of my .co domains. I have no plans on developing them but they would be good for someone who has the skill to develop. Any opinions on them? Any suggestions on what I should ask for?

FUNNY BABIES.CO
JAPANESE RESTAURANT.CO
MP3 CONVERTER.CO
NORTH AFRICA.CO
USB DRIVE.CO

I am open to suggestions.
Cheers

Recent Regs:

Ocana .co

Though a relatively smaller city by comparison, Ocaña is also a popular Travel & Tourism Destination. With a population of roughly 104,000 (based upon our most recent findings), Ocaña appears to rank somewhere between the 49th & 52nd largest city in Colombia.

A Short and seemingly Rare Domain, having only 5 Letters, Ocaña is also a fairly common last name. With some extensions fully developed and others merely parked, this might be an okay find.

I wrote an article about this and asked for feedback on what the names are worth. Would love to hear your feedback.

Where exactly do these appraisals come from, since they all seem quite high? Would you choose flipping.co to sell your .co domains over Sedo?

I've had offers on 3 of them, one of them for $2,000, but it's way too soon for that so I've declined and continuing with my development plans.
Which name? $2000 would have been a great sale.
What are your plans for the domains with TM issues?

Chances of selling seem better when listing in multiple places. However, from reading through several of the valuable and extremely informative NP threads, it would appear sales happen far more often by seeking out end-users, as opposed to just waiting for someone to find or stumble upon an auction listing.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=573976

In light of this, it may be beneficial spending some time to read and utilize the many resources on here. Doing so may help become better versed in the processes of selling both at auction and by seeking out end-users. Something to perhaps consider.

Wishing you great success.

I'd rather not say yet about the 2k bid, it may not be over but I'll post again if something changes.

As for the TM's, I'm well aware of 8 of them with potential/likely TM issues and what, if anything, can be done with them. From personal experience of friends with similiar .com's I took a calculated risk with those. But one particuliar patent is about to expire, and a lot of TM infringement depends on useage and other factors. I regged to give me options, if they don't pan out..whatever.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=573976

Truthfully, of the bunch of 50+ if I could them over again I'd probably drop about 10 of them but as a bundle of names I'm happy overall.

Interesting. According to Flipping.co, using the 4% of .com value, my .co domains are worth:

MusicCds.co $31,000 (.com valued at $778,000)
LaptopsComputers.co $24,480 (.com valued at $612,000)
TNO.co $224 (.com valued at $5,600).

Looks like MusicCds.co is the big winner of the 3 I purchased.

I got them from Flipping.co. I don't believe it's worth that much. That is just the 4% of the .com value that Flipping.co is using. I actually have two of these three domains (Music Cds and LaptopsComputers) listed for sale here at a rate that is more like 0.25% of the .com value of the domains.

It would seem to me that a fair value of a .CO name would be 1/2 of a percent of the estimated .COM
So a $100,000 .COM would make the .CO $500.
It would seem to me that for the time being, that would be a fair assumption.
.CO is still unproven but... even generic domains in an unproven extension are still worth something.

I've been offered $200 for codr.co - Wondering what you guys think? for a LLLL - with a slight meaning behind it ^^ Perfect for an end-user freelancers/webdevelopment company... :L I dunno whether to just sell it or develop atm.

Would love opinions.

I would take the $200.
No actual sales for that domain. Estibot and Valuate (the alternative to no listed sales) give the .COM a value of $1,900 (which is about right maybe a little high).
So depends on what you want to do. I put a value of codr.co at reg fee (if you consider that .COM appraisal at $1,900 is correct).
Just my opinion

Sorry Gilescoley. The "not impressed" face was me not being impressed and too taken in by all of the hype of the .co. Hope you didn't think that was directed at you.
