 | Wasn't there a grandfathering process for the owners of .com.co sites? I thought I remembered reading that Colombian companies were given their .COs early. I'm wondering about trademarks, too, because there's a word that's not taken, and the .com.co is registered to a Colombian construction company, the .net is active but owned by someone else entirely, and the .de & .com are owned by a German finance company. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=573976 It's the .com.co I'm worried about. You'd think they would have grabbed their .co. On their website, the term 'S.A' appears after their name, which I think might mean Trademark. Kev, can you verify that? I've seen S.A. on a lot of Colombian company websites, but I'm not sure. I wanted to add: This is a dictionary word in Spanish, and is commonly used throughout Latin American countries. |

| Holy crap! That was fast. Great names, too.  I'm amazed everyone's .COs are getting added so quickly. I'm not sure how long that will last, so I'd better get moving! I didn't have time for it today, so I plan to put a few small sites up tomorrow. And I wasn't planning on it, but I got 3 more today: Prosciutto .co Spanish Food .co and Retinol .co (Retinol is not trademarked, Retina-A is. Retinol is the form of Vitamin A used in anti-aging products. | For best results, the solution would be to buy your own hosting and create a minisite on it with your own Adsense ads. This would guarantee the maximum revenue. Using a parking company like WhyPark limits your revenue because a part of it goes to that company. On the other hand, with WhyPark you can setup a minisite on your domain with customised template and graphics in the blink of an eye. All for free (they also offer paid accounts with advanced features).

Retina-A, Retina-A Micro, Tretinoin (the generic form) are all trademarked brands. On Roc's site, you can see they have "Retinol Correxion" marked, but as far as I know, that means the ENTIRE phrase constitutes the mark, not just a single word (because if not, there'd be too many duplicate entries).
