Start checking around midnight (according to the .co site).

Landrushes are usually very messy and confusing. Be patient.

look at the historical sales for extensions like .es, .ar, .cl, .mx - the ones that made $ were good keywords and spanish keywords with potential for local traffic not this garbage that most of you have regd.

There might be a market in huge typos and for the more daring ones in trademarks, but the best bet you can make is long term for SPANISH KEYWORDS, remember this is the colombian ccTLD, words that represent an industry will get the best resale prices, if you were smart enough to register one.

i.e. they literally have to sift through thousands of regs, sometimes more than one person registered the same domain and they have to verify via time stamp...usually takes a few days to rectify any confusion

From another post on NP. I just don't see this turning out well. These type of regs are a major black eye to the registry itself.

Hi, I need a help

I registered around 10 domains .co of the largest companies in the world yesterday. (example company.co)

The best thing is to contact directly to these companies to offer or the other option is to put them on auction sites like sedo.com and then notify these companies that there are auctioned?

All we need is a few big companies to start marketing their shiny new .CO's, then country code, IMO, means next to nothing. It's all about the next big thing.

One thing is for sure that I am not going to reg Youtube .co or sony .co but yes-I do have interest in some LLL .co and these LLL .coms are run by some big companies.

Just read the Namepros threads on the .me landrush (Summer 2008).

It took days to sort things out.

Godaddy was the worst.

It's just the nature of the landrush beast and the onslaught of thousands of regs at once.

Domains need to have a generic use, as well as be used in a non infringing way.

Technically if you used Apple.co for a website about your apple farm it should be alright. But, if you use it in an infringing manner it would show bad faith.

However, there are famous brand names that don't have a generic use. Even registering them shows bad faith.

documento - this is the singular, the plural would be better - not sure of the uses for this
receta - recipe, not recipes but not bad
horoscopo gratis - great reg
licitaciones - this is like rules or laws i think, not very useful
cachondo - not correct, should be cachonda "slutty"

I have a local services startup so i might try this name on a spanish version of my platform..
