$24.99 is for the go live not for landrush. The pre order fee normally only applies for the landrush period and not for go live.

for now IDN is not supported. I believe they will roll it out at a later stage, so that they can have another "landrush", to increase exposure and registrations...

IDN was available long time ago and many ccTLDs only introduces a few years ago and some haven't. If they come around next year and introduce IDN, people will be talking about .CO again and it will generate more revenue in the long run for them.

Considering the fact that the team in charge of marketing .co has nothing to do with Columbia and is supposed to make the extension a worldwide extension not a columbian extension that prolly are not too concerned with IDN right now.

I think everyone who has pre ordered for landrush wishes the pre order phase would be over already and that they are the only once having placed the order. Looking forward to see for how much the domains will sell in the auction.

I'm waiting for 365+13 days.

Am sure come August 2011 we'll see some spectacular drops and reg fee sales, will cherry pick any I like then, or maybe not, don't see long term value tbh.

I see .co as a ccTLD of Colombia only, over time, prices of english .co might go up and down and whatever but spanish names will follow internet penetration and colombia´s economy which looks good btw.

One statistic that has convinced me is one, that I have put together myself(only trust my own stats) and that shows GDP/domain,(similiar to GDP/capita) where Colombia is has one of the highest of all the TLD´s. a small part of the list is here, the rest can be found at

Question Questions

Why have almost all valuable generics been registered by the following entities in February 2010? How could they be registered in February when even the Grandfathering of the 3d level opened only in March? Were all of these generics really registered on the 3d level prior to July 30, 2008 as required by the Grandfathering rules?
