            | I get emails telling me about domains I've voted on now being on auction. But I didn't vote for any of them. so-hot.com isn't even worth my vote. Did someone hack my account or something? |

I threw that domain in there last night, along w/a few others. I can barely figure out the whole Bido system anymore. I haven't added any domains there since like April. There have been a lot of changes since I have sold over there. | Thanks, I'll let ya know if I figure something out (or check back here -- someone might already know the answer). And no offense about so-hot.com . It's actually not as bad as I made it sound. I was just annoyed/frustrated when I wrote it and I typed without stopping to take a breath and cool down  I haven't added anything new to BIDO since maybe last October. Could anyone list a few of the changes made since? I might have a few I could list there.

 I would like to see a nice one stop shop of all of the changes too. There are an awful lot though. I read a little bit of info on their site, and watched 2 Chef Patrick videos that they have nicely displayed but I still have a few questions myself. Theuy do have a cool program to encourage members to filter thru the domains that are up to be voted on. They actually pay you a fraction of 1% of that domains sale, that you voted on to get it in to auction. I have just been listing mine with "No Reserve". That start price is $28.00, and I guess when you do that, if it doesn't sell, No listing fee which is pretty cool. I was very frustrated with them as they were working out all of the bugs, upon start-up, but of course thhat was to be expected. I'm giving it a whirl on about 20 or so domains now. It looks like a pretty cool set-up now. Sorry, i haven't helped you out much. Like I said, I just started listing there again so After I get a few sales under my belt, I will come back to this thread and throw my 2 cents in, for whatever thats worth.  ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=560553 BTW, Does anyone know if there is a bulk listing tool? | Just a quick question, I bought a domain off of a NP member. They had entered that domain into the Bido system under their account a while back. Well, I tried submitting that domain last night, and there was a msg. that said the domain was in another Bido Members account. I pm'ed the NP member and he said Yes, he still saw it in his account and doesn't know how to delete it from his account. I looked myself and couldn't find that option. I changed the Whois on that domain immediately so it has all of my info, but Bido doesn't let me add it until that member deletes it. Anyone give me a heads up on this? Thanks |

It's a new pricing format on Bido. Your BidoPrice is the absolute minimum price that you will accept in order to send your item to auction. It's "The Price Of Engagement". When you select your BidoPrice, you should select an appealing price level that will encourage bidders to become engaged and participate. It's when bidders initially become engaged in an auction that will build pressure to the point where it gets heated and the auction is maximized for the seller. A successful auction has not one bidder but two or more. Use your BidoPrice to encourage bidders to engage early and attract subsequent bidding wars. When you submit your inventory for voting, the voters now vote on two things: the item (domain) itself, in relation to it's BidoPrice. Your BidoPrice acts as a reserve, and as such we are essentially introducing voting for Reserve auctions. But don't think of it just as a Reserve, think of it as the price of engagement, and therefore select your BidoPrice accurately to encourage participation - by the voters, as well as the bidders. Learn more here: http://www.bido.com/Info/BidoPrice The second of the big changes is something we call "Vote For Profits". There were several weaknesses of the previous voting system on Bido, mainly: incentive for voters to participate. Therefore, Bido now makes you a partner in the profits for voting on auction inventory that sells. We call it “Vote For Profits”, and we're looking forward to paying you a lot of money. Now, when you vote on the submitted domains to go to auction, select the domains that you feel have a BidoPrice that's likely to sell. If the item gets enough votes and makes it to auction, and the auction sells with a winner, you'll get a percentage of the sale amount. The earliest voters earn the most. The funds are given by Bido from the typical Bido commission. Learn all the details here: http://www.bido.com/VoteForProfits We also added the ability for sellers to add Buy It Now Pricing. While Bido encourages a price of engagement, we also realize that some sellers have a desire to include a Buy It Now price. The Buy It Now price must be double or more than the BidoPrice. That means your BidoPrice must be half or less than your BIN price. The cost to add a Buy It Now price to any listing is 1 Bido Credit ($8.88 each, discounts when purchased in bulk). A buyer may exercise the BIN (Buy It Now) option even before the item goes to auction, while it's still up for voting. If an item makes it to auction by being voted in, the BIN option still remains. However, in an auction, the Buy It Now option is removed if bidding becomes within 25% of Buy It Now price. Since you were last there Randy, we also introduced Negotiations to Bido. Buyers and Sellers are now able to negotiate on items before they go to auction. In addition to accepting and countering offers, sellers are able to push any item to auction using the Buyer's offer as a bid. To get started, visit the Vote tab, and if the BidoPrice isn't acceptable to you, you may click the thumbs down icon to indicate to the seller that the BidoPrice is too high, and attach an offer. And the other really big change is an entirely new selling option, we call it the Bido Guarantee Program. Bido has assembled the top buyers in the domain industry, our Guarantee Partners, who submit their offers for domain names that they are willing to buy in a private auction not open to the public. After the private auction takes place, you have three choices: 1. Accept the Guarantee Offer as a sale 2. Send the domain to No Reserve auction using 75% of the Guarantee as a starting bid 3.    | I tested it with 2 names a few weeks ago and sold 1 so I rolled out 2 dozen medium quality names to see how it does looks like I got about60% with bids so hope there will be a few bidding wars. Very happy with the service post sale and payment is timely. The bulk tool is nice for multiple uploads and allows for some html, but will stil take some time to assemble. If I could make a suggestion, you should add/modify a few categories: Add: Dictionary (Since some domains are just that) Modify: Music / Movies to Music / Movies / Games (Since they are all 3 intertwined in the lives of many) |

On the Bottom of the Bido page there is a "Feedback" link. It takes you to a sortof Forum/voting on Bido Suggestions. I just added one in there about adding a Time column in our "Created Auctions" page. I have a bunch on one day, and want to add it around ones I submitted (to that similar time slot) without clickong on each domain to remember if I set those to 9am, noon, 6pm, whatever... Well, here it is... Please add Auction Start Date/Time to "Created Auctions" Page. Vote on it if it seems important to your auction management. ya might wanna try to submit your ideas over there too Randy. It seems like they respond to alot of the ideas | ||||

| Hi Garett, Few Questions... 1) How do I remove domains from my bido account ( those which failed to gather 10 votes)? 2) How do I set my "asking price/auction price" less than the bido start price of $28. I have seen some domains sold for $2. How I do it? 3) How do I edit the description for those domains which are in the 'voting' period. I have tried to edit the description but it ask me for auction date - but i cant mention auction as the name has not got enough votes yet. Please suggest. Regards SBS |
