![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thank you for the rep you guys We're working on optimizing the site for IE as we have had feedback that IE takes a while to render the page. Most users report that it is fast with FF but slow at the moment with IE, so we are aware and working on that. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi, how many experts you currently have on Bido? I mean what chances do I have to get 20 votes for my domain to be added to auction? Thanks!

The chance of you getting 20+ votes on a domain is very slim (at least currently). The highest voted for domains I see have 7-9 votes. | ||||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks daj, thats correct, all members may now vote on what goes up for auction, not only the Experts. This was a recent change. Regarding the number of votes required, we are currently skimming from the top while we determine the most appropriate number of votes needed. This is not a science but an art, we have a trigger set in place at 20, but in all fairness the intent is to pick the best of whats being voted on, some were selected for auction when they reached 15 or 17 votes or so already. Basically we are still collecting data on what constitutes a lot or a little amount of votes. Just please everyone do your part and vote for what you want to see go to No Reserve auction. Sorting the columns gives different insight for each perspective. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Damn! There was just a Bido thread that I was responding to, but when I submitted my message I found out the thread was deleted! Either way, the thread was regarding view points on the Bido platform, so I figured I would copy my response here: Hey Rebepa333, I have nothing but good things to say about Bido. Early on, I submitted domains that did not make it to auction as they were, unfortunately, not great domains. I think that the best thing Bido had and still does, to an extent, going for it is the quality and consistency of domains that are up for auctions. Rarely do you use domains that receive no bids. My experience mostly stems from a buyer perspective. I have purchased 3 domains through Bido and have been amazed at the personal customer service they provide throughout the process. Payment is SIMPLE and the pushes are both quick and highly communicative. If you don't have an account at the registrar of choice, or have not done a push, the Bido staff (thanks Jarred and Garrett) guide you through the process. Bido provides a great place to hang out while the auctions are ongoing and provide a great quality of domains. From the beginning, Sahar and other Bido staff made sure that quality domains were auctioned, even at a certain loss to them. They realized that this was necessary to build-up respect within the community and over the last week it is clear that this has most likely worked for them. Okay, I am rambling, but overall, Bido seems to be a great place to sell (ONLY if you have a good domain, though), a great place to buy, and most of all, a great place to hang out! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Both the .ins closed pretty strong, $211 for globalwarming.in and $508 for computerclasses.in, both regged this year, is excellent. Bido's getting good price points for the domains that do get into auction. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree Samit. The past week has really shown what Bido can do. It seems that the days of $1K names going for mid $xxx are gone - largely proven by some of these great L-L sales of late. Crappy domains still don't sell, even for a dollar at times, but everything of quality appears to be selling for a solid amount. I look forward to seeing what the future of Bido holds for Sahar and the rest of the team. |
