Can anyone recommend a good dns host? .ca registrars don't allow for easy changing of the A and CNAME - if at all.

Don't hold your breath. I was told the same thing a years ago. Wanted to separate out an MX record for email but keep them parked.

You can point your ns to EveryDNS.net and manage that way.

If your talking about Namepros.ca
I sent them an email regarding it, they
offered the unlimited DNS service for 9.88 CDN per domain per year.

I emailed them back and told them that's quite a hefty
sum (x40 domains) and that I only want to change the records
once - because of the new AFD system. They emailed me back saying
they are bumping it up the chain to see if there is an alternative

for the Google changes.

So fingers crossed that they offer the same feature for free, that
the other registrars do

I don't know what the issue was but I tried another domain and it was live in 15 minutes so I deleted all the records and reloaded them. Went live in 10 minutes.

I spoke with them as well - their solution is costly and not worth it (unless they really bring down the price or offer a lump sum like $25 for an account). Better to use a third party solution imo. And unfortunately they are not the only .ca registrar with the same problem - three others I checked also don't offer the needed changes for free. But in the end I'm in no hurry to move many domains there until some people start reporting back & they unveil more features - which I'm sure they will. It's rather archaic right now.

I may just move more domains to Fabulous - they have been paying well for the Canadian traffic I do send them.

I'm sure they have been bombarded with .ca'ers looking for a better deal. Love the security and privacy of owning .ca's, hate the annoying stuff.

I have sent a re-submission for the first one.

Did anyone notice on the re-submission section,
this little bit of info...
"If you re-submit a rejected domain more than once,
your account will be cancelled!"

Google does so many dumb things. Obviously Google doesn't want to waste their staff's time constantly reviewing the same name over and over. But there is no good reason for Google not to implement on their side an automated track of how many times a domain was submitted and send an auto-reply like, "This domain has already been re-submitted once. Continued resubmission of the same domain is a policy violation. Please don't do it again."

But instead it seems like they go out of their way to cause the maximum amount of damage to their customers, who may have made an honest mistake, when causing that level of damage to people is just not at all necessary.

that will happen...anything to weed out the pain in the ass small business owners...I just realized I used up one attempt because I didn't point all the dns first for the "application"..does this count as the first rejection?or do they let you wait to do all the server maintainence after they let you know if your domain sucks or not...I am stopping this experiment today and will wait to see who gets screwed first before doing anything...don't trust these people at all..
