OMG. so dumb. This kind of people is the reason goverments can get away with taken away our so hard won private rights.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=528636

If the reason to blocking and censoring is to caught sexual pervs, terrorists and such, they could instead of using all that money and resources to blocking and censoring a whole nation, use it by creating a special group and give them all the resources they need to really go after pedos and such creeps.

But ofcourse it is only an excuse, the real reason is as always to control the nations information system, so its only the goverment accepted information people can get.

You sir are a god among men. Someone finally sees it. This is a free get out of jail card for predators! If you drive them off the internet, you lead them to parks or just other resources that can't be monitored.

Think with your friggen brain!

too often perents seek to shift the blame, if you are worried about your kids internet usage , take an interest , make them use it in a communal room like the lounge and so on

I'm sorry Big Brother ......the tribe has voted you out !

re: Australia may impose Chinese style of Internet Filter

Australian Internet Censorship Filter Delayed

"File sharers should take notice that this announcement only postpones the internet filter, with the potential of its installment as early as mid-2011. It was clear that Electronic Frontiers Australia was less than satisfied with the postponement, citing hopes that the government would “let the filter die a natural death,” according to an arstechnica report.

The chairman of EFA complained that the Internet is too vast and moves too quickly for an Internet filter to be truly effective, and although the government’s intentions are in the right place, the current system is a joke."

I really hate the ideas of these filters, its way to much power that will obviously will be abused at one point because it can be, good they postponed it

Yes, anything is possible...is it realistic I should say..for a filter to block out Internet/tech savvy people from doing what they want to do?

Even a layman can mask their IP and make it show up somewhere else other than their home country.
