Yep. 8.5$ isn't cheapest offer but Name.com also offers free whois with freewhois coupon. That is what I like Name.com for. Otherwise my choise would be Godaddy of course

I also use Internet.bs for cheap domains + freewhois. There is also Directi who offers free whois. Again prices are not much cheaper if still cheaper...

But they are not much cheaper. And sometimes Name.com offers more interesting coupons. I remember I renewed for 8.25$ + freewhois

and then again, you get a price increase out of proportion. just check name.com and it is up $1,10... the price increase from Verisign was 10% but name is getting 20%... seems that another company can't stop going for all the cheese after luring clients for lower prices.
