i like that domain

cloudhousting.pro is an awesome one. encirca also makes you aware of expiring domains months in advance. something like 90 days...which is crazy..maybe they all do it.

I don't think it fits the '.pro' extension too well, and it's not a strong keyword, AFAIK.

guitar.pro, car.pro, aeronautics.pro, speech.pro... strong keywords and .PRO makes sense
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/522420-the-pro-discussion.html
there. Everyone could relate to it. Even housekeeper.pro would be better.

But what is a 'supersite' professional? It sounds gaudy, and I'm sure it won't get many monthly search keyword hits.

Since it doesn't make a lot of natural sense, and isn't a strong keyword, why bother?

I was just brainstorming wordplays with domains and extensions.

Sort of like what is going on with the .co ccTLD being marketed for "company," "corporation," or "community." When really, it's just Columbia.

I had "Supersite Productions" in mind for this specifically, but either way, it was just a thought.

I would not want it even if you gave it to me renewed for 10 years.

I keep searching for new .pro websites that stand out. Found this one today. GreenJobs.pro and thought it was very professional. I've been keeping track of attractive sites as well as listing some of my own on http://www.facts.pro. I try and post the more advanced sites that I find in a small effort to help promote the extension.

My current web development projects:
shoppingcart.pro | ecigarettes.pro | filmmaker.pro | conferencecall.pro

Nice looking greenjobs.pro, i should use my resume.pro

Any of you has observed any change in how well google serp rank .pros ?
Me and a few friends of mine have .pro which get recent rank increase, and were willing to know if this is global or not.
Seo is to me, the bad point with .pro
Regards

Here is a heads up: I am planning on auctioning off one of the biggest .pro name's within the next 2 month. I am in the middle of the preparations and will make an official announcement probably by next week.

I think this upcoming auction will be a good stress test on the viability of the dot-pro extension.

I am thinking of selling my single word .pro domains due to lack of time to develop. The names are Soil, Pile, Plant, Listing, Insulation and Chartered.

Any choice items there? Value?

Thanks, andy

Just in case you missed it, if you search "wireless doorbell" on Yahoo you'll find Doorbell.Pro in the five spot. That's me in the three spot. I'm so embarrassed.

wireless doorbell

yeah, there are a hell of alot of doorbell .pro sites. Whatever it takes..to the guy investing in .pros make sure to see the drop lists at encirca.com or snapnames. I've noticed some good ones that I've passed on., as my plate is pretty full.

Just picked up crush.pro and ecard.pro to go along with the greetingcards site I own.

I'd love to see this domain extension get some greater momentum and not just because I've spent alot of my professional time developing and investing in 'em. In my purely biased oppinion I think there is big potential for the .pros to be taken seriously in time.

I would recommend going to EnCirca and starting the buying process for a Pro ... any Pro. You don't have to complete the purchase. But if you have your eye on one, go ahead with the purchase. Through the purchase process you will see what is required to purchase the domain.

Many professionals PM me and ask what exactly they have to get (requirements) in order to have my domain. I told them read on encirca but they don't really understand, what should I tell them?

You literaly beat me by minutes registering that domain. I checked whois and it was available, loaded encirca.com in my browser and it was gone.

You can point your prospective buyers to http://registry.pro/pro/eligibility.shtml

Basicly, anyone with a business licence or business regisistration like a corporation or LLC is authorized to buy a .pro.
