The best thing you could do with $10,000 US right now is to move it out of the US currency, wait a year or so for the dollar to really collapse and then pick up the best domain name you can and develop it.

If I had 10k laying around I'd try to buy a decent LLL.com. The prices for these have been dropping a lot, and I would say they have GOT to be close to the bottom. You can probably pick something up for 6 or 7 thousand right now. With the rest I'd develop a site on it. 3 or 4 grand isn't going to put up hotels, but you can build a few houses which will increase it's value and income while you hold it.

I'd go on a cruise. Take alot of pictures and the memories would last a lifetime...unlike domains. Honestly, buy two great generic domains, allow some money for development...they'll pay you back in about two years! Then you can go on that cruise!
