and not only that, anyone who buys from him will most likely loose their domains. 3rd party registrations are NOT ALLOWED (no matter WHO you are) He is NOT a "Certified Seller" of .ca's either. There is another thread going around about it. He's not allowed to offer "The Presence Requirement" for .ca ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=507107 he knows it, but seems oblivious to what he's doing!

![]() | Hi: I would be willing to register domain names in my name and then legally contract to pay almost all revenue and sale proceeds to a third part (less a percentage fee). Anyone think this would be legal? I would only do if strictly legal - this is just my hobby - I have a good job. Thanks, Danto |

www.cira.ca you can check under requirements, and also under certified sellers. It's one thing to register one for a friend or family member, but there is no legal way of running a business to do it.

![]() | Registering for a .DE domain I want to establish a presence in Germany in the moderate future and have a name in mind. However the requirement is that the administrative contact must be living in Germany, which I am not at this time. Does anyone know of a domain registrar that gives proxy service? Thank you |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've had a .de at my GoDaddy reseller for a while without a problem, cost = $17.99 (currently the same price at GoDaddy themselves). They'll provide a proxy German admin contact:

![]() | Is that so? I wrote to Godaddy and they gave me one of their canned replies saying that I must add in an admin contact in germany. And avoid replying to my question about proxy services! I found another place 'safenames.net' but they seem to add in a $150 admin charge to every domain registered. The cost for the $8.50 .de in godaddy changes to around $200 in safenames. Eurodns and simply.com also provide trustee services but they are quite expensive....can't recall the specific number at this time but it is around $30 to $60 per year extra. Thanks! |

![]() | Workaround for some restricted ccTLDs Hello, I've thinking about the restrictions some countries have on its ccTLDs, where transfers among domainers are not allowed. What if a certain group of domains are owned by a company/corp. (legal person) instead of a natural person? Then, instead of selling those domains I sell the company that owns them? Of course, those domains HAVE to be real good ones to make it works but let's assume they are. Is this possible? Legal?

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=507107 You can absolutely incorporate in Canada - then you'd be able to do whatever you'd like with .CA domains, since you'd be a legal entity in the country. The only catch is that you often have to have a Registered Agent who can represent the company in case someone wants to sue you, etc. I'm not sure what the fees are, but I have heard that incorporating in Canada runs around $600. If there are other countries' ccTLDs that you want to register, you may try the same thing, but you'll have to find out the laws on how to incorporate.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Selling the company that owns the .ca's, will still require the new registrant to meet the CIRA requirements for the domains. Basically, if you have a legal business in Canada, you still can't sell .ca's to anyone - they still have to meet the requirements.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Agreed, the company owns the domains, but they still can't sell them to anyone they feel like - that doesn't meet the requirements, and/or act as their presence. There was more to what I had posted but there was another post deleted and my response was edited. |

![]() | Thanks a lot for your answers. I made this question because I was looking for some GREAT domains with the .PS ccTLD. I found available many of them, including Grou.PS and Lapto.PS and many more... but then I noticed that everything I searched for was available so I doubt... and made a whois for pnina.ps IN pnina.ps and take a guess on what happened... Yes, pnina.ps was available... ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=507107 I heck them today and they are taken, of course. There seems to be an error with the whois of that cctld.... ![]() There are still some nice TLD but I see a lot of problems to be able to sell them later so I think I'll follow one of the rules I've read here so far: Begins your journey making simple things: Buy a good .com and sell it...
