I think this shows the incredible branding power of the .me extension... First Wordpress used WP.me , and now Facebook is using FB.me... They could have used any other obscure ext, but they chose .me for a reason, it simply FITS...

Err....no one wanted it :-) People love em when they see them. Not sure about businesses... I have a perfect advertising plan for a large corp just don't know what ad agency they use to sell them on it :-)

Fb .me is now number 19 in the top 100 list of url shorteners. Beating some long established ones, but still a long way to go.

I've recently received several offers for dotme premiums -- so the extension is alive and well.

One dotme site, formspring.me is becoming a social media phenomenon --- incredible traffic worldwide -- and now a very valuable property

I sold 4 premium dotme names this week to one enduser (company) for a total of $ xx, xxx, which would be 12X my ROI -- I had planned to dev the names, SEO and rank them, but I've got too many projects and ventures on my plate.

This Company vigorously pursued me over the last month, but I did not respond, as I was dealing with a family tragedy.

I'll check with them to see if I can discuss the details, but I think not.

DotME is a viable extension. In fact, per my portfolio -- DOTMEs rank #2 on the offers I receive. Obviously, DOTCOM is King and provides at least 10X the offers of Dotme.

I appreciate the comments about our family tragedy. It was sad, but life continues...

Per the enduser, this group actually contacted me -- 4 names related to their Company's offerings, and these were call-to-action verbs, with the dotme extension.

I had to sign a confidentiality agreement, so don't think I can reveal the names or entity/buyer.

I sold laon.me for $30 or so on bido, the .com went for $500k.

Also, the .me is market is mostly smoke and mirrors, no one is really buying.

I had good .me sales in December... I sold 2 .me for $175 each, and 2 for $100 each....

I think the .me market is so young, that's why there are still some incredible bargains to be had.. I agree, it is still a buyers market, but this will change in a couple of years.. Nonetheless, I have almost 50 decent .me's coming up for renewal, and I am renewing them all, I consider them a 3-5 year long term investment, just like my .tels.....

No.... I sold them through emailing end users....but they weren't really strong keywords...2 were first names (not that common), and 1 was a 3 letter .me...
