Btw, my own knowledge is limited in this area. I don’t know anyone else other than Rick Schwartz who admitted in his interview that he was a stakeholder (or investor) in .me.

I don't think you can call me a "big domainer" but I did invest some money in .me.. I won't tell any number but let me say that:

1) I already did make good money. Much more than what I invested.
2) I still have people interested by some of my .me, but most of them don't offer enough.
3) If I could start again my .me investment, back in the landrush auctions, I would invest WAY more. I can't believe how some very good domains were sold for 75$!!!
4) I am going to develop some of my domains because I really like the .me extension. Not just as a domainer, but as a web user too.

Damn, I checked for luv.me about 2 days after it was registered, I cant believe I didnt think of it a few days earlier. Surprised no one thought of it sooner, was registered a while after .me opened for registration.

Given the age and number of .me domains registered, it is really amazing to see around a dozen .me domains at Sedo auction at one time. Also the current bid amount of luv.me is 5,600 Euro yielding more than 400% profit, supposing there is no further bid. It should be noted that this is not a landrush auction. We are in the aftermarket situation and now mostly people in genuine need are acquiring their preferred .me domains. With due respect to those who are not great fans of .me due to its alleged 'shortcomings' should reconsider their position imho.

Unfortunately, I dont think you can take anything from this pending sale. The reason is this. LUV ME aahhhhh very nice, aint it cute.
F*KK ME some will like it others will be offended. A domain for adult use only.

As far as value goes I think yours has its value in ADULT category and the thing to remember is, it is what the end user will pay that matters.

not really, thats an extremely brandable name id spend low x,xxx on it plus its obviously an end user so thats not really alot of money considering. Im gonna guess we see a dating site in a few months start to come of luv.me

There were some 56 bids on luv.me in the landrush auction. I think 5,600 euro is a genuine price for this domain name. We don't know though if any speculator is acquiring it or an end user.

Had it been singular with .me, probably it would have been more valuable. To a great extent, the popularity of .me is because it can be personalised. Undoubtedly the Netherlands is more important politically and economically than this tiny new country, i.e. Montenegro. Had it not been the word .me, probably nobody would have been bothered. Very few of us know about .mf, .mg or .mh.
Having said all this, supporters.me is still a good name. Being it plural, it may not fetch as much as did its .nl counterpart but still it will go for at least high $xxx to low $x,xxx IMO.

I don't know if this is common knowledge to .ME Domainers as I occasionally frequent this area, but I noticed there now is a way to bypass the auctions if you want a premium .ME and have the funds.

This is on domain.me now:

"# The .ME Registry is interested in hearing specialized and unique proposals for the development of premium domains. Send development proposals to info@domain.me and please include:

* Intended use of the premium domain
* Schedule for development, test, and general availability of the premium domain
* Financial commitment and resources (advertising, PR, marketing, etc.) in developing the premium domain."

That means if Apple wants Mobile.ME (they own the trademark Mobile Me and have MobileMe.com, they can skip the premium auction process.


Does Rick really have some ..me domains? I am really interested in a link to that interview because I remember him putting his foot domain down against anything that is not .COM. He has that whole .COM is king attitude.
