But there isnt any reason to believe just yet that .me would fail its shown almost all good signs in the 5-6 months its been out there beyond just the explosive registrations there is a large amount of development being done. All statements are a matter of opinion But my opinions are much better than yours  | ||||

Well, as a test I shot for front page with google on 2 specific restaurant names for my http://pensacolabeach.me site. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=503896 After just a couple weeks I am front page of google for both. pensacola beach peg leg petes pensacola beach hemmingways And for some strange reason (its due to news stories that had death in the title) i am TOP of google for "pensacola beach death" Anyway, wanted to show that with the right keywords you can hit the mark you want, but your mileage will vary based on how competitive your terms are just like any other extension. |

| Dax44-rep 'd Just picked up a couple from your list. Just when I think I am finished regging dot me's, you have to go and bring out "The List".  Thanks. There are some decent letters combination left - if you are developing. ex: OLS.me - Online Language Study. Teach English(or any language) via webcam or any online platform - ols - Easy to remember - Fits yoir niche - and may bring in enough to pay reg fees until lll.me is worth selling.

Luckily most people think that LLL and NNN are going to skyrocket, so you are able to capitalize on the hype... take advantage of this while it lasts.

There may be some out there but they are few and far between. From my experience, most people who want random NNN.info's are domainers that think the price will go up. The truth is the price HAS gone up in the last few years... that is not in question at all. What is in question is what is causing this price increase. Just that like LLLL.com's did a year ago, people will wake up and say hmmm... just because DOMAINERS bought out the LLLL.com's that doesn't give them inherent value. Don’t take this the wrong way, I like .ME and have made money from it, but take a look at other ccTLDs... quality LLL.us are selling for $50, quality .sc, quality .mn and others sometimes cheaper. Try to buy some .me and people want $100, $200+. There IS a reason for that. That reason is not that Montenegro's residents have massive internet access and need LLL.me for their business names. Its that .me is highly publicized, advertized, and marketed. .ME is overhyped. I'm not saying it in a bad way, again I love .me and do make money from it, I'm just saying - realize the surounding forces around the .me drive. In this reguards, its overhyped by the registrars, and the original people who have quallity .me they want to unload at huge prices but waiting for other domainers to buy up all LLL/NNN so there is a false sense of inflation. Make money with NNN.me. Many money with LLL.me. There is a LOT to be made with all the attention on .me “Domains have and will continue to go up in value faster than any other commodity ever known to man” — Rick Schwartz I personally do not agree with this quote for many reasons.... 1. New extensions coming out left and right. 2. The ability to make your own TLD. 3. Search engines. How many people type in a random name.xyz vs. searching for something with search engines? Domains IMO are old school. You can take any domain for regfee and turn it into a multimillion dollar company. If I were to make a quote it would be: "What good is a 10,000$ name when you could have used that money to drive 100,000$ worth of customers to your site. Meanwhile the economy is collapsing and your money could have been better spent because most of your traffic won’t come from type in's but searching and referring sites" In my original post I was just trying to make people think, especially newer people. I wish I would have thought this way when I started. Thats all In the meantime, I have an investment in .me so I myself am going to hype it up all I can to get the most out of my investment! ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=503896 there are quite a few chinese sites running NNN.com addresses - 163.com I think , plus casino sites, etc. - nissan use Z.com which is equally novel IMO , the names are appealing (to some) because there are so few. Plus limited supply domains ll,nn,nnn,lll are tradeable and have guaranteed value - ie. less risk. put another way - say I own 308.com - I am sure that some day , someone somewhere in the world will have to have 308.com. So would I rather have something like ReproWatches.com? - for development , maybe - but then "308" is perfectly brandable too isn't it?
I really appreciate your offer, I should not have 'outed' you like that - my own stupid fault for not checking the list more carefully before launching. Too many daiquiris as usual. | ||||||||
