![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | CosmicRay Got to say it - the new avatar suits you down to the ground my good man. I feel so less dizzy now. I've actually read the T&C myself and they are pretty much what you would expect from a horrible evil empire type company - in many ways they are similar to that for a .com of .net registrar - because that's what they are as well. Indeed, there is only a small portion pertaining to the premium .TV registration. You know, enom could go bust, they could fallout with verisign - and verisign could fallout with Tuvalu. In fact Tuvalu could disappear under the sea of effect of a thousand Sports Utility drivers leaving their engines on at traffic lights! A million things could happen - but for the half million or so TV registrants who have properly maintained their names (ie paid the renewals) nothing will happen. Why would ENom (Demand Media), Verisign or the government of Tuvalu want to risk killing the golden goose that is .TV. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/dot-tv/503595-premium-names-what-chance-there-sale.html In short - too many people have a vested interest for you not to be shafted! And that is exactly the same with .com .net .anything. The registrars are only human (sort of) and want more business. They certainly don't want the wrath of most of the media in the world (you name them - Channel 5, NBC, etc etc) and the likes of old journo's like me spending the rest of my life publicising their wicked ways - AND then pressing for massive compensation. I have a LOT of money invested in .TV premium names - and I would like more invested if they would just drop the prices. Yep, I have sleepless nights - but its not about enom shafting me - its about my bIG project not working and all the little JimboJimbo's having to go and work up the chimneys again. Seriously. This topic has been covered so many times in these threads it is always scary. Legalese always is. Have a look at the T & C's of your mortgage agreement or job contract and tell me you really believe the house you thought you owned was actually yours, or the job you have was 'permanent'. The reality is - that with .TV premium names you've as much security as with a .com name - and no one will be putting the prices up. That's why some guys are still paying $35 dollars for a two letter domain they regged in 2002 while others (who joined later) are paying $15,000. |

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=503595 So give it up and stop being a pest. And to say top domainers arent getting into .tv is just plain wrong but i wont waste my time anymore with you as you just wind me up with your repetitive, negative posts. | ||||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Could it be that Demand Media are hiking the prices of the dropped premiums in order to lower the number of drops and protect the income they have - i.e if you know the premium on the domain will be 3-20x higher in the future if you drop it are you more likely to renew? |
