Yes LinkShare is a great place for affiliate programs. Ive applied to several there, as well as with ebay partner network for niche store ideas.

Been of doing stuff for a few days. Kinda surprised to see this going great guns.

Am working on a way to create Amazon store which doesn't look like one. Wish they supplied good RSS feeds. I am actually due to get a check from them soon.

Parking sites?? www.dodgerumblebee.com and www.dodgeturbo.com

I agree that the content is sparse. I plan to write 3-400 words. It does pass the copyscape test now.

Hey corey.. nice minisites. I noticed on your domain though MiniSite.info that your logo seems to be stretched, almost as if you used a smaller sized image than the dimensions you used to size it in your header. Also, the color seemed a tad off. Simply from an aesthetic viewpoint..

Here is a quick one I whipped up if you want to use it. It should be the right dimensions for the image space too. And I matched the text color to the standard text used on your page.

If it doesn't pass that test, will we get banned from adsense? I'm using some articles from free databases on topics that I have no idea on.. is this bad for SEO?

Here are two of my sites:

www.orgod.com - Operations Research Jobs, News, Program Rankings, Info
www.uryuu.com - Bleach Anime Fansite

It's been known to happen. It's not quite the same banning as for invalid clicks (where they don't pay you for the clicks) they just send you an email saying you don't fit their business model or your site represents a significant risk to advertisers, and they'll pay you up until they time they shut you down - but they shut you down. I wouldn't leave a site with no content or nothing but syndicated content up for very long.

Also note that *every* AdSense site has to have a privacy policy now (and they keep changing the rules on what is supposed to be in it without telling you what to put in it to keep in compliance - it's kind of a pain)

Just noticed that last night. Going to be lots of work adding it to every damn site. Easiest might be a little include file so one change covers everything.

What if we have half a post that was duplicated? And the rest of the entire site was original? Will we get banned from google? I'm scared because my first site www.orgod.com was accepted by adsense and dropped by google index at the same time this morning. It's freaking me out.

Also can we use a page that just feeds using google news if we have adsense? (see the webpage again)

Thank you..

The rules for AdSense are that you must follow the Webmaster Guidelines. Read this over, and pay close attention to the Quality Guidelines.

Everything with Google seems to be about percentages. Nobody of course knows the exact balance of duplicate (syndicated) content vs unique content vs navigation and other by-nature duplicate stuff, like copyright notices, logos, etc.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=502144

Take a good hard honest look at your site. You might think of it like this:

if navigation + syndicated content/duplicate content + AdSense > original or unique content = you could have a problem

if original or unique content > navigation + syndicated/duplicate content + AdSense = you're probably ok.

(and the icing on the cake is that you'll very likely get better targeted and better paying ads too -depending on your niche.)

barefoottech,
It is a beauty. You are the man when it comes to Joomla minisites.
I've been having a hard time finding 1.5 (free)templates. 1.0's abound......
Thanks.

I noted last post that I was having trouble finding Joomla 1.5 templates. Got this link from another forum, and it's a pretty good one:

http://djoomla.com/

Lots of 1.5 and 1.0 templates.

Inked.in <- Thats an awesome name, probably deserving of a bit more than just a single page minisite. The top of the layout is nice, but the images are rather recycled. I've seen them elsewhere before.

I couple of things I would change:

Spread the images around a bit, you've got all pictures at the top and all text at the bottom. It makes little difference to a search engine, but it makes a big difference to a human user.

I would also focus a bit more on using the term "inked in" in the body copy. Try to make it feel like the "inked in" is your brand. Theres a double purpose there. Instead of having the .in just be an extra part of the domain name you are building a brand, and also you are building a degree of separation from the "inked" magazine's trademark.

You may also want to find something else to advertise like art schools. Refocus your target to all forms of pen and ink artwork. You can keep tattoos for some pages to target the keywords, but spread the theme around to things like inking in comic books, ect. A wider content base gives you more sources for traffic.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=502144

As it stands, if a dispute was filed you'd lose that name in a second, and thats too bad because it really is a great domain name. You are only violating the trademark if you are using the name to go after their brand, which it is pretty clear you are. If you use the name for something more they have no valid claim against the name and you will get more out of it.

The AEIOU sites have been in full production for about a week, first off i must say from a service perspective Ryan over there is top notch.

The Port Isabel site is doing better revenue wise than it was parked. But anytime you develop a site it will take a few months for solid traffic increases to come so not sure what the final outcome will be.

The Branson, MO site is doing better on traffic but revenue is the same or less than when it was parked but once agan, we are talking a week in production.

I do have another site I will be having them do that I had a custom proposal done for that is more expansive ( opensourcedownloads.com will be the site )
