Very nice theme! I almost read through all the replies here, and got very useful informations, as a starter in mini-site monetising.
My question is how are you getting names to these sites? What is the main point in selecting a name for a minisite? Are you buying domain names in package?

Hope I would post my first minisites soon.

try and get generic, key word domain names in .com, .net or .org sequence or preference wise and develop if they are just sitting there eating dust

I'm re-trying the minisite on a subdomain thing. Hoping it works out better this time around. Check it out and tell me what you all think. Feel free to point out any bugs in the tool.

Very nice. In spite of the directions I uploaded a 2+ meg file and it seemed to work fine. I assume that at some point it will be possible to remove your watermark for a fee?

Is it a good way to start with google keyword tools, searching good keywordnames? Which is the more important? PPC or monthly searh frequently? How many searches per month are good enough to start thinking that would be a good keyword?

I think PPC matters, cuz I have domains that get about 70K visits a month or page views but they hardly make $3-$5 in a whole month... its definitely important to have higher ppc so that even if you get very little traffic, relevant content can get you alot of dough with every click. For example: I sold a minisite (uLPN,com based on crazy keyword LPN) for $3.5k, just cuz it was earning consitent revenue of $200+ a month through adsense with just 300-500 visits a month making it 5-15 visits a day!!

You see the quality of traffic and higher ppc always helps..

It's coded to work up to just shy of 6Meg. With my server's limitations I had a hard time getting past the 2mb upload and having it still work. Once I finally did I left the comment about the 1Mb limit in the notes on purpose. I'm not entirely sure I want to take it down. I wanted to make the site user friendly so assuming someone who doesn't even know what a megabyte is uses it they won't get an error message if they upload a file that is too big. As for the watermark, I stuck it in as a form of shameless self promotion. There is a couple of things I included in the site as a way of building backlinks / traffic, and its one of them. I probably won't charge a fee to remove it, but if I get a few people who really want to use the tool without the watermark I'll remove it altogether. It would take all of about two seconds to remove the watermark completely from the code.

I've gotten a lot of PM's by people asking questions about minisites; within a week I hope to take care of that by posting a minisite primer in this section of Namepros, with a step by step and a bunch of resources. That should help. I'll post it in a separate thread but will post in this thread when it's up
