Hi there. No not really. How many auto follows do you get per day? Is it that bad?

since registering a couple of days ago 10-15, mostly very random not connected to anything I'm vaguely interested in. I switched from public to private & now back to public & it seems to have slowed now.

First one was within seconds of creating the account & following a couple of people.

Depends.
Because it has nearly 200 followers and nearly 30,000 updates@mach9names gets dozens per day- most of which are deleted by Twitter rather promptly as they're obvious spam accounts. I only ever follow back people who seem to talk about the domain industry from this account, and yet still they add...

My low-key normal account gets very little in the way of junk followers.

Yes, I think it really has to do with whom you follow, if I see another fresh account with 2 updates & a "get rich quick, super marketing online secrets revealed today only" message... I'm quick to block.

Another thing I've discovered while using Twitter, 82.795% of the users are SEO/Marketing Geniuses. sez so right on their page.

I love that. 'Social Media Analyst' = autofollow a load of people then spam their timeline with 'interesting' affiliate links or self-referrals to their 'brilliant' blog.

Guys I'm seeing too much of this. This is not what Twitter is about. If you find someone interesting and you want to know more, then follow them. Don't worry about being followed back. Don't worry about having thousands of followers.

Perfect example, @PutuHamsa, sorry to put you out there. But you have 101 updates, 99 of those are for the @NameCheap contest. I don't want to follow your contest answers. If you want to build followers provide a value.

One more suggestion...don't create a Twitter account for every website you have out there. Spend time on building one Twitter account and build a good following.

I think they are thinking that if the follows are coming from here, the people are probably domainers and would be worth following back. I wouldn't think that you would get to many non-related domain follows from here, but I could be wrong.

...theres no point in 'spamming' the network...I mean, come on, its been a long time since we've seen something as revolutionary as Twitter - if we're all to start misusing it, theres no reason for it to stay as unique a concept as it is now....
