That is the exception rather than the rule, of all the companies in the world how many have overpaid like that in recent years?

e.tv is a great name.....

not for your typical domainer or average domainer though...a person with a development plane in place and money to back this up like an online.tv or qoof or a couple domainers can do this here..

The fact is the owner is about to sell it for a 15% loss after holding it for two renewal periods, and the renewal is the same as those (weaker) 2 letter names.

Sometimes you just get tiresome, Snoopy-poo, and we start taking your criticisms rather like "oh, it's nothing, it's just Snoop." and that's about it.

Have a nice day, Snoop.

Snoop,

Perhaps many here would pay a very high premium to buy FU.tv

Seriously, I actually value your input on this one but I feel it is a little hard hitting on E.Tv for having one bid so far - you know yourself that most SEDO auctions kick-off in the last ten minutes.

I think that e.tv is a fantastic domain. I can truly say with hand on heart if I had the available funds I would snatch it up and reg for 10yrs. This has got to be the ultimate .tv domain and I feel for John if this does not reach a substantial figure.
The problem with sedo IMHO is that no one is doing any marketing for you once it's on auction. If the right person doesn't know about the sale then obviously they ain't going to buy it.

If you don't have or want to spend the money it really doesn't mean a thing. Somehow I think you'd find something better to spend your money on rather than the $117,000 that you claim you'd spend on this. If it was such a great deal the logical thing to do would be to run to the bank for a loan/use credit cards/sell off other domains to buy it etc.

How do you know he not done that already - unless YOU are bidder 1

Are you attempting, by a process of demolition, to back everyone else off the coveted E.TV so you can have it for yourself?

This type of attack was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. To speak to someone like this in a forum is poor form and it smacks of bullying. Also, if you continue to talk to people like this none of us will sell .TV names to newcomers.

The guy has an opinion and he has a right to express it and I don't see why he should be shouted down. Use your intelligence and respond with reasoned arguments and points, rather than launch a rabid attack. I don't see why you have to shout him down as he was responding to JimboJimbo's comment (and question). He was putting forward a view in response to that post. You may not agree with his view but to react like this is over the top and poor.

So you can can get stuck into me now if you like but quite frankly I couldn't give a stuff because I've had experts in this forum try and bully me and it's like water off a duck's back. This is supposedly a forum for everyone, not just an elite group of .TV diehards, and I'll continue to express my opinion and I hope this guy, and Snoop, and others do the same.

Rodash there was no bullying so calm yourself down a bit.

His post was 100% wrong due to the fact he done NO research so should not make general sweeping statements on the whole state of this extension.

It is neither poor form nor bullying it is merely a response to an unresearched comment that was cleary meant to show that .mobi is better than .tv.
It had no substance and got the response it deserved ,incase you hadn't realised then please let me explain, that this is .TV forum.

As i said above the guy had done no research and was only here to blow the dot mobi fanfare, please do not tell me how and how not to respond to posts, if i wish to respond using reasoned arguments then i will and have done so many times in the past, though it does gets tedious repeating oneself all the time ,so sometimes i choose to be rather more direct in my approach, This is not bullying and i find your remarks that "It smacks of bullying " to be offensive, infact ,I find your whole attitude extremely condesending.

I don't wish to as you say "get stuck into you", but it is clear from your comments above that you have obviously been involved in these kind of things before in this forum ,and you now have a huge chip on your shoulder and you have now taken it upon yourself to be defender of rights to others, all very noble i am sure, but please do not accuse me of bullying and come on here telling me how i should reply to posts.
I will continue to do things how i see fit, if the moderators do not like this then i am sure i will be told.i do not need nor appreciate self righteous people like you coming on here playing the bullying card to try and justify your preaching.

Snoop

You're right, it sold for $17,500 - and that's bad news (which I'm sure was your implication).

Oh, and yes, you're right, - do you feel good now.

However, it still doesn't change the fact that most SEDO auctions really kick-off in the final few minutes.

Is it still 71 .TV names you've got? Or has that number increased?
