So i am pretty much finished with my first .tv development. I have more plans for it and i have started phase one of the project. I ran with an idea that another member of the forum is using for one of his .tv domains.
Let me know what you guys think of it so far. Still have some kinks to work out like the FAQ and help sections but from there its just a matter of promotion and SEO.
Also i have advertisers set up for the banner but have not yet gotten the banners from them.
The site is more community based rather than just a channel by the way. So if you have some videos you want to upload that fit the criteria go ahead. You can also ADD videos straight from youtube without having to dl or anything, just need the URL.
first, its a basic template, if you like it, then go for it. but if youre willing to look the other ones, there many templates available, even for free !
It looks somewhat empty, may be you can add banner, news feed,under the left menu, and in the footer page.
the site could be more Search Engine friendly, by changing .htaccess in your hosting. and even more advanced you can use Joomla component to do this. The way you can see your site paths can be read by human, loved by search engine . Also it changes your pages into html. I've done this. it works !

I am trying to keep it fresh and easy looking. Not going for the whole dark thing most MMA site have. Yes it is a basic template but that's what i wanted to work with and so far is doing well.
I had changed the .htaccess a while ago but i failed to read that it didnt go through. So i fixed that.
I have banners on the way just waiting for the advertisers to get them to me so that will make it look better. Also am planning to put some things in the left hand sidebar in a couple of days.
Did you do as it should be ?,
first at the Joomla's back end, set it to SEO friendly.
and then the htaccess.file set it to .htaccess, you also have to change some code lines in there ( depend on your hosting )
If it failed to read, you got a blank page, then i bellieve its something in code lines that you need to change.
