I verified the amount and i transferred the domains to him. But later paypal holds the payment and opens 3 disputes or claims of these 3 transactions of amounts ($325 + $300 + $400).
and one case investigation is completed and they reverted the payment back to buyer(transaction 6VK55411S56367700)
the pending transactions are
transaction 3FU298654K3662144
transaction 1BM58575N9655025X
and also these 2 are reverted back on yesterday
so i lost all of my domains and the money (
at last i traced these guys and found one guy from country India, look what he is saying when i contacted him via email........

he changed his phone number, but i already got his number and it is
+91 94153 70296
and i called him several times,
he is now saying that
* now he didn't own those domains
* he is threatening me that he will hack all of my accounts
* do what the hell you want, i am not going to return your domains
* and lot of ***words
i even appoached great services like godaddy and paypal my answers / replies whatever i got are exactly same as above posts
so now the thing is what is the future trading for all domainers now.........
i caught one guy and what about others, there may be tens or hundreds of these now roaming on internet..........
my questions are 1. how i can believe the next customer/buyer who approaches to me to buy domains is a genuine person ??
2. how i can know that the funds send via paypal are AUTHORIZED FUNDS (because they only complaining to paypal once we transfer the domains, upto that you can see funds in your account)
3. HOW TO PROCEED WITH NEXT TRANSACTIONS......................
my humble request to Ronald James (the owner of this forum) at least make this thread appear in total site so that every domainer can react to this situation now and may be once we raised all of our voices probably there may be some change in policies of godaddy / paypal
please wake up before it is too late or you caught up.........
It is horrible there are alot of scammers out there. I myself have been the victim of scam / paypal for more than $500 of my money, and scammed in other areas for much more than that.
I am learning that unless you personally know the person, go through an escrow. Another approach I will be trying is to have them send you a personal check and wait 2 weeks for it to clear.
Sorry this happened to you we all feel your pain. Paypal is horrible
after thinking on this from the day it got happend....
i got a solution for this, may be it satisfies 70% of our need, but not to ignore this.
ok, from next time if we received any payment from paypal
1. we will send a sample email to the buyer email address as it is in payment that we received.
2. buyer need to click on the link on that email that sent from seller (or) he need to verify by replying to that email.
3. It confirms that we got payment from real buyer with his knowledge ( I mean from the real owner of the paypal account)
4. then we will transfer the domains to the buyer, that whatever he purchased
5. how this sounds............ i may guess for scammers, hacking of both paypal and email accounts, probably a difficult task, then hacking paypal, by sending some spoof or phishing emails.
let me know what you think on this !!!!!!?
an easy and affordable solution,
if paypal introduces this system, then we can actually receive the real funds from real owner after only the stage(2) got completed.

1. how i can believe the next customer/buyer who approaches to me to buy domains is a genuine person ??
trader rating. read through his posts in the forum and see what kind of person you are talking to, what other names he is buying/selling/discussing. Send a message to a reputable member he has bought from and ask price specifics and if he used paypal.
I realize that English is not the first language for many people, but from what I have encountered most people in India speak/write English well - particularly in the computer/programming industry. Sketchy English is sometimes a call sign of a scammer who is posing to be from a country where he is not from as he is likely attempting to disguise his location.
2. how i can know that the funds send via paypal are AUTHORIZED FUNDS (because they only complaining to paypal once we transfer the domains, upto that you can see funds in your account)
Make sure he is a verified member and even better if it is premier or business account. On top of this if he has one of these two accounts he can pay you with mass pay which is a no brainer to save funds.
I just thought of this: Perhaps in situations where you sell names worth xxx - xxxx dollars, you could force the questionable buyer to sign a waiver (via fax) and you could create the waiver to specifically spell out exactly what you want to protect and if need be you can send this signed document to paypal
3. HOW TO PROCEED WITH NEXT TRANSACTIONS......................
Allow EXTRA time after you get the payment, then push the names if you feel the buyer is questionable. Make him pay in NP dollars?
All a real pain in the a$$ to take these steps from what I can see just reading through this.
Only working with genuine members is key, what was his user id? post count? trader rating?
One last thing, not all hope is lost. If paypal investigates thoroughly they could give you the funds back. Call and talk to someone at paypal and give them the scoop, make it clear what is going on.
I had an incident where I sold an XBox on eBay to a 0 feedback bidder. He complained it stopped working about a week and a half after receiving and had done so after already having left positive feedback.
Paypal credited the money back to him almost immediately once he claimed it was broken. I showed them my evidence - he had 0 feedback, had a low paypal rating, wasn't a premier member and mentioned this defect long after her received it.
Eventually - about a month later they credited me the money back after I had already written it off as a loss. It should be pretty clear when a 0 or low non-premier/business member files a claim against a seller who has xxx paypal transactions that I am in the right and it did work out for me in the end.
So in summary, perhaps what I would do first thing is call Paypal and explain the situation. I did this with my ebay example and it took awhile, but I got the funds back.
And as simple as it sounds think positive energy. What we think becomes action, what our will is becomes our way. There is a positive life force we can tap into that stretches far beyond our tiny piece of dust hurdling through space and time during our limited eighty (+) year lifespan on this 4+ billion year old planet.
