all .ca unless you have a development plan in place or are looking long term are a waste of money.
Just not true.

It's the quality of the domain that matters.

I disagree with competitions.ca not being worth anything to be completely honest with you. It's a good keyword. Any other input?

.CA push problem Sibername

Hi,

I have a .CA domain at sibername. I bought it using their dropcatching service.

When I checked how I can push this domain it asks for 1) signed letter to be faxed, 2) passport copy, 3) $20 CAD. You can see it here:
https://support.sibername.com/kb.cgi...id=369&lang=en
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=491396

Is this standard procedure? If I used another dropcatcher would it be any different?

It looks like at namecheap you can push a .ca domain easily. Is anybody using that bloody sibername website? Are those people bloody idiots or is thi,s a common nightmare with .ca domains? I'm very annoyed with the whole dropcatching .CA experience. I want to know if this is because the way .ca works or because of this stupid sibername website.

I can unlock the domain and get a transfer code. Is this domain going to be easily transferable?

I mean if I knew this is going to be so much headache, I would have never bought any bloody CA domain. It has been an absolute nightmare. I dropcatched hundreds of com domains over the years. All I wanted is to check how this .CA thing works.

By the way, the domain is schoolmate.ca and I paid $45 for it. I was planning to get rid of it as bido. However domain push doesn't seem possible.

schoolmate's whois still shows their info as the administrative contact.

Usually when you have completed the purchase of a tbr .ca domain name, it gets moved into your CIRA registrant account right away. Do you have one?

Their request for a copy of passport could very well be to prove you qualify under CIRA's Canadian presence requirements.
