| PHP: Download php code from server Hi,
I am struggling with a silly problem:
when we use address with .php extension, ex http://www.domain.com/index.php, the code is executed.
But when we use http://www.domain.com/index (with out .php) a dialog appears and tell us to choose when we want to save the file. Funny thing is this is an original php code, has not been executed yet.
Any one could help me with that? How to fix this silly error?
Thanks |

· #2 | | NamePros Member | it may be an Apache issue. If you have access to hosting server, take a look at Apache Handler or mime types |

| I can't do that since I can not touch anything with root-required. |

| During a server restart, Apache would often prompt users to download my php files.
First, check your .htaccess file to make sure there aren't any odd things in there.
I'm assuming there is nothing though.
You need to contact your host ASAP. This is a severe security issue, and if it is happening to you, it is likely happening to other users on the server.
For something like this, I would demand that it be fixed within 24 hours or you will need your money back.
It definitely sounds like an Apache issue, and if you're renting server space, it is Their responsibility to ensure that it is running properly.
Raise Hell,
Bruce |

| Thank you for the response. This is not paid host, this is company's. I am waiting If anyone tells me any tip with .htaccess. It looks like there is nothing with this. I will contact them for sure.
