DUI.mobi was the main one i wanted because I had a plan for it. I really thought it was going to go for more than $7,000 at the auction so I didn't get a backer.

Yes, GF, definitely something like that....Also, maybe takeaway foods - like Pizza, or Thai, Chinese, etc...Or speciality foods, like cheeses, various meats etc...Recipes could be good, too - together with info on the nearest place you can buy the ingredients for various dishes, wherever you are, at any time.

...All with GPS, so you can see where the nearest outlet is while you're on the go...

I'd also love Games.mobi, or Banks.mobi, too...

I always wanted to make a mobile website which tracked the nutritional information (calories, fat, carbs, etc) of restaurant food -- never have had time to get much of this project done but it's something I'd like to complete sometime when I have more free time.

I'd say news

You control the news, you control what people know, what they talk about and what they talk about with other people. Plus the basic coding that it takes for news headlines and articles aligns with the extension.

Plus it is recognizable in most languages without translation and a wikipediaesque tab for language translation could be very useful.

Also - news is so generic, you can report about anything, sports, finance, food - anything can be news, right?
