CVCV.org or CVCV.info ???

My question is this:

What domains will have more value in the future, CVCV.ORG or CVCV.INFO ????

thanks

Hard to tell because:

.ORG = Not very popular, often looks like a scam site
.INFO = The "Spam" domain and many people do not trust them.

I would definitely say .org because I believe more people recognise .org than .info. Moreover, I think .org sounds more serious.

That's half the problem though; ,org 'sounds' more serious however it looks like a scam site....the best way is to stick with .com...

Let's look at the facts:

CVCV.info SOLD OUT much faster than CVCV.org

CVCV.org drop MUCH more than CVCV.info

Last CVCV.info sale 5/14/08 @ $481

Last CVCV.org sale 5/2/08 @ $310

The obvious pick is CVCV.info for me.

How did you come up with this idea?

.org is a very nice extension because of it's high credibility, but then of course there is limited use commercially...

is org better than info? Is meat better than ice-cream?

CVCV.org are good for "non-profit" organization. CVCV.info are good for those companies that can't get neither CVCV.com nor CVCV.net. If you are not non-profit organisation then you look first at .com then .net then .info.

I would rather have phonecards.info site than phonecards.org.

I like .infos I sold already 5 CVCV.infos to end-users 4 CVCV.infos (all in 200-300$ region) - statistics of last 7 months. Perhaps it's not very good statistics since I have more than 250 CVCV.infos.

I don't know which is more valuable. I am leading toward cvcv .orgs myself. Perhaps cvcv.info sold out quicker than the .orgs because the .info registration pricing specials.

As for .orgs and .infos being scam and spam sites, please enlighten us about this statement...

unless it is a serious info site like tourism/product related, .ORG is best hands down.. But for info sites, .info is not bad.

If you can, just get them BOTH for defensive registration.

I say CVCV.info have more value just because of past sales of them. I personally perfer .info over .org anyways.

.info is still un unknown/obscure extension for the 99% of the internet population, while .org is pretty much recognized worldwide, but often associated with non-profit organizations. The nature of the extension may lead to think that a CVCV pattern, valuable in terms of brandability of a commercial item/service, might not fit very well for the .org tld. Personally, i'm not a fan of the .info since I don't see many real sites using it even after many years from its lunch, so if i really have to, I'd go for a CVCV.org. If you were asking me what's better between a 4-premium LLLL.org or .info, I would definately tell you .org ftw. In both cases tho, it's a really, really long shot.

Google Trends shows .org showing an order of magnitude greater occurrence in Google News stories over .info. That's only Google, but it might have some meaning.
