I recently reg Highlands,tv (a drop & non premium), so I put it on Sedo and today I've got an offer.
Originally, I was thinking to Scottish Highlands, but it's also several towns and places in USA.
Here some pictures of this marvellous and very touristic place in Scotland.
So, what could be its value at this moment in your opinion?
All advices and appraisal very appreciated!
In my mind "Highlands" is synonymous to Scotland. I personally think you have a wonderful name here! To guess as to it's value......I think reseller, definately in the $xxxx region and as we all know to an end user much more.
It would be interesting to know what the offer is.
Thank you Len, much appreciated.
For info, the first offer was a very low ball offer, an asking-price offer if you know what I mean...
Thank you again Len.
Other opinions maybe ?
I believe there's scottish people here, can you give us your opinion plz?
To me 'Highlands' ONLY means Scottish Highlands, almost anyone who hears the word Highlands thinks of Scottish scenes straight away.
It is a strong keyword with very obvious development potential and a large number of potential end user with there being such a strong tourist industry in The Highlands and cause Scotland has a strong history of using the Internet well to promote their areas.
Price wise I'm not as optimistic as Len, I'd guess it's worth low - mind $xxx right now though you could get more if you hold.
I checked the past domain sales with 'Highland or Highlands' in the title and found very little:
highlandgames.eu sold for $333 , 2007-01-17 @ Sedo
highlandschool.com sold for $560 2006-12-11 @ TDNAM
I found a couple more sales for comparison: Highlandconstruction.com $2,888, June 2007, 2 words, 20 letters.
Aspenhighlands.com $2600 July 2006, 2 words, 14 letters.
Thank you very much mckennaronnie, I knew you're Scottish, it's why I appreciate your opinion, even if of course I will certainly never sale a name to a scottish, as I know your reputation about money (I'm joking of course!!!)
Len, thx again, I appreciate your effort and help.
I would love to say our reputation on money is untrue BUT
There is a few who are different of course like the famous Andrew Carnegie & Sir Tom Hunter who these days travel the world with Bill Clinton while giving his cash to charity.
US Scots are inventive & hard working folk but once we get out cash then we only part with it when we feel we get a good deal
Unless we are buying Whisky, Irn Bru, anything for a lassie (a girl that is) or a weapon to chase invaders with
Oooh, Hull's wont be happy
A proud English man like Hull's being called a Scot is a major insult, the English have a chip on their shoulder as us Scots are MUCH better looking.
For once i'm hoping they don't develop it as the last thing i need is more competition for my Highlands section on Scotland.Tv
It is a domain that would work great as a Video site as The Highland's look stunning in Video or in Pictures, there is So many great places to view and also lots of Hotels, Castles, Attractions & Many, Many, Many Pubs that you can sell advertising space too.
