| 200Best.com - new luxury domain name site I just read the press release for 200Best.com where they state
"A new site went live today at 200Best.com. The site is full of world-class high quality generic Domain Names with the .com extension"
If I understrand it right they have apparently got the 200 Best .coms up for sale - the prices are very interesting - around $30 Million for the top names - anybody heard of them before ? - the owner is called Paul Wilson I believe
It's an interesting concept, I read somewhere that someone (it may have been Kevin Ham) tried to sell advertising at $30 a month but no-one was interested, so instead of reducing the price he increased it to $300 a month, suddenly he found more clients, so he increased his prices again this time to $3000 a month, and he found even more clients - all to do with perceived value.

| Yes, they seem to be going for the hard sell - ask outrageous prices and hope one or two of them come off - maybe I should do that with my domains - create a glitzy website and market my names as elegant luxury names with an air of exclusivity for the connoisseur |

Maybe they need that $30 million to pay for all the crack they have been smoking.
Advaita, thats a solid idea, presentation can have a huge effect on sales, just don't go overboard asking ridiculous prices that just make you look shady or out of touch (like these fools) |

| I didn't like to be so harsh Timewarp but those were my impressions too when I visited their site - but who knows ? if they manage to sell one for $30 million they will be laughing all the way to the local bling shop |

| They are doing there equivalent buying a bag of flour and quickly substituting its $1 price tag for a $1 million price tag. |

| Ive never seen nor heard of a domain sale over 2M, and I believe the one was fund.com for 2m... They got long generic domains for 10x the price, they're not too smart. |
