I think I'll just work on a blog for now. I'll improve the site and work on more services as I get more resources to devote more time to this project.

Congrats on acquiring such a brilliant name Phil
I thought this thread was for general LLLL.com ideas until I realised you have THE LLLL.com lol.
If you got this for anywhere near the $4k mentioned by another NP'er earlier in this thread, you got good deal IMO.
Please keep me informed about any developments.
Matt.

The firm answer is "No", you can only buy it from the market now.

none of the above
Phil , have checked llll.com and the idea of an informational site is very good (for the moment).
However, being such a good name, I think you should put all
your efforts to develop it properly.(at the moment layout is pretty poor...).
I honestly think that as content you are on the right direction, and your main income should come from advertisers (and also big players in the domain marketplace). I would personally.
1) Build a very nice catchy site with a web2 look.
2)Write some good articles on the LLLL world plus
3)Contact major players (we all know them) of auction domains, expired etc.. asking if they are interested in advertising with feeds to their auction for LLLL.

Thanks for the honest feedback. I know the layout is poor. I am busy trying to earn money to pay bills at the moment. I will work on upgrading the layout when I have more content.

I have decided that developing LLLL.com is too big a project for me and the cost of developing it is too high considering the opportunities that I am putting at risk. I will probably sell it and will stop posting in the blog and park it soon with the view of selling it in early September.

Thats certainly a shame... But I look forward to seeing how the domain sells in the near future... I am after all a prospective buyer

Back when Phil first aquired the domain, he sent me an email from LLLL.com -- I thought he paid the owner for an @llll.com email address which, I have to admit, would be pretty cool to have
But the whois checked out... All in all, pretty amazing and fitting that the creator of the LLLL.com Countdown Thread had the chance to own "The LLLL.com".
