Just smart pricing, or what?

I have never had much luck with AdSense, so I recently decided to go a different direction and create some health-related minisites to see what would happen.

In the beginning, they had me excited. I was pulling in anywhere from $4-$10 per day. But now? $1-$2 it seems.

Is it just smart pricing? It's rather discouraging, because I have been trying to find the right combination with AdSense for quite some time now and just when I thought I was on the right track they have practically stopped producing. It doesn't feel worth the effort...

I would like to be one of those people who find great success with AdSense, but it seems regardless of what I have tried over the years, it just hasn't clicked. It hasn't paid off.

Any information and/or advice via reply or PM would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

:great:

your traffic is at least equal?

Jed K 05-23-2008 01:17 AM

Yes, equal or better.

maybe the visitors are ad blind now. But in all the case you can do this: create another adsense account for one of your relative and put his adsense on your page to see if there are any difference :)

It's not that. I'm getting the same amount of clicks as before (if not more). My CTR is really good.

Then you can do what i said: create another adsense account, and put it on your site to see if it is really smart priced. :)

And Just HOPE any of the Google Adsense team does not read this thread

Getting another account IS against Google's Terms and conditions

Overall earnings for those type of clicks are down because of normal demand/supply fluctuations
Try using different sizes and placement of Adsense ads
and freshen up your content

this is a Google Friendly method that may improve your earnings

My thinking it would be smart pricing. Also it is towards the end of the month they might be cheaping up the keywords

You are getting traffic from where?

I mean, what are your sources of traffic?

Jed K 06-02-2008 09:30 AM

It's all genuine US traffic and coming from links, directories & search. As I said, same amount of clicks but lower pay.

Anyway, things seem to be doing a bit better now. Guess there will always be slow periods. :hmm:
