Lifesaving CPR info on iCPR.mobi

This site belongs to a former member here, and I believe it could save some lives, literally. http://iCPR.mobi. It has directions to administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation and it is accessible on a mobile phone. I added it to my signature and the footer of my blog and I hope it is available to anyone who needs it.

Breathing.... that's important, right? :hehe:

I will let him know and send him a link to this thread. Thanks!

Ok guys, here is the latest info and research, and apparently it is now considered a unnecessary delay to deal with breathing when there are other, more important concerns.

"These are good questions.

The Amercian Heart Association has just revised the guidelines for CPR. And when I say just revised it has only been a month or two.

CPR used to be taught as ABC

Airway
Breathing
Circulation

The emphasis was placed in that order but now the order has totally been revised...and reversed!

The point is if someone has no pulse, then too much precious time is being lost doing rescue breathing. It is essential that blood flow to vital organs.

The old ratios of compressions to breaths are no more. Notice they are now saying 30 compressions to one breath where it used to be 10 to 2 for one person CPR and 5 to 1 for 2 person CPR.

This is a radical change from decades of teaching and training. But the results have proven to literally be a lifesaver."

Here is a picture that also helps show the newest research:

excellent ---- this is fantastic stuff --- I like the "vision"

sf2010 05-21-2008 08:57 PM

great concept. and the site looks good too.

the only suggestion would be to place a simple "adult" vs "child" navigation in the index page at the top. in times of panic and stress, this would be quicker.

just 2 cents from an ex-firefighter.

kudos to sf2010

sf2010 had a great idea in:
"

my suggestion would be default for child so that if a child were to navigate to the site nothing else had to be done.... and then a nav to the adult ver....

2cents here too....
