If anyone is looking for content widgets to throw on their domains hosted by whypark please PM me. I'm currently running the beta test of a new widget technology that brings full length articles from RSS feeds of your choice directly to your domain for visitors to read. We've successfully tested the widget on blogs and have started implementing them on some parked domains. Please PM me ASAP to get onboard...we have limited beta spots.
From what I understand, the "block" was a blip on the radar screen that a lot of "parking" companies had to deal with back in January/February/March....
I can assure you, all my sites are indexed by Googs, and in many, many of them - I have top 5 placement for my "keywords".
From my perspective Whypark isn't a parking company at all....
Way, way more than just hosting man - wayyyyy more
I don't mean to rain on your parade, l2, but you really shouldn't rely on Google traffic for your WhyPark domains. For one thing, it's common knowledge that almost any new domain gets a 'bump' as soon as it gets indexed, usually followed by a sharp drop while Google ascertains trust level. If you regged on 6/18, that's nowhere near enough time to evaluate your true Google position, and even if you regged a month ago - that's still not enough time.
You might get lucky with some of your domains, but I wouldn't take that bet. Google is on record recently as saying they emphatically do not wish to return parked pages in the SERPS, and I'm quite sure they've identified WhyPark as a form of parking, as they have most of the other parking companies. If they haven't gotten you yet, eventually they will. And if you are using AdSense on the page, you may get a message from Google that your site does not fit their business model (several people I know with WhyPark sites received this email and were terminated)
Like I said, you might get lucky. But I wouldn't like to think you were putting all your eggs in one basket. I do know a little about how Google works.

I've also submitted everywhere possible, Yahoo, MSN, etc. so you are right - I like many baskets for many eggs.... LOL
I've started a backlinking campaign across many fields too. That was probably the biggest item - allowing backlinks - that brought me to Whypark.
And I always have remembered why I have them there anyway - they are in a "holding" pattern, waiting for the industry to build, then as an exit strategy - a final end-user sale. I needed somewhere to "monotize" them in the meantime. - Adbrite, Yahoo, Chitika, Whypark feeds are all standing by... just in case.
And then even if the dreaded worst case "de-index" happens....
I still have a relevant website, with backlinks allowed - which is more than a "best case scenario" at Parked, or Sedo....
Thanks for the input - I did need to be reminded of my back-up plans.... Been nuthin' but sun so far

Alan from Whypark stops in here often - he'll have your answer I'm sure....
I like the Google gadget and the link above for telepresence news. I thought it was part of the gadget, but it brings you over to your news site. Very clever.
You're right WhyPark is not a full development platform, but a tool to build a nice looking site quickly. The back links you are working on will make the domains more valuable too. From my experience it monetizes domains that don't get type in traffic better than parking.
I own many "brandable" domains and it also generates domain sales leads. I sell about 5% of my portfolio annually to end users through WhyPark generated leads.
At WhyPark we'd prefer not to become a site for adult names. Sorry. There is no official policy at this time, however.
Hi Alan and L2. I am new here, having read all the posts. I will be signing up soon with Whypark. As a newbie, I have some ?'s that perhaps u can help with.
1. When adding a domain name, it asks for domain name and site title. Are they not basically the same? If no site title is chosen, will the domain name show by default at the top of the page?
2. Alan, u mentioned u were receiving PSA ads from Google. What kind of ads are those?
3. If the pics in the templates want to be kept, can the widgets be used elsewhere on the domain?
4. Does Whypark automatically submit the domains to search engines, or does the individual still need to submit them?
5. Can u please explain the difference between back, direct and hyper links? Where do they go and how do u do it?
Glad to here you may be joining us at WhyPark. Here are some answers to your questions:
1. By default the domain name with the extension (.com, .net etc) will default to the site name. In some cases a WhyPark site builder might not like that, so they can change the site name. For instance Private Jet Travel is at BigAirline.com. We've been playing around with some domain/site name display formats, the one I like is at Gastric Bypass Surgery
2. PSA stands for Public Service Ads, you don't get paid by Google when site visitors click on them. My domains were all getting regular Google ads and then being served PSA ads, but now I get served regular Google ads. One site is Mold Removal . If you get served PSA ads you can use the WhyPark ad feed.
3. Yes, you can use the widgets elsewhere on the sites, its only limited by your imagination and HTML skills. It's easy to put affiliate widgets in the sidebar, at the top of the articles and at the bottom of the articles and keep the photos.
4. WhyPark gives instructions on how to submit your site map through Google webmaster tools and provides a block to paste the code provide by Google to verify the site map.
An example of a backlink would be if L2, put a comment on a telepresense forum and linked back to Go Telepresence. In this answer I've created backlinks to 5 different domains.
A hyperlink is just a plan old link to a website whether text or a banner. On Go Telepresence the ad to "advertise here" is a hyperlink created by L2.
A direct link is a backlink or hyperlink that does not redirect through another URL before delivering the visitor to the intended place. Most links are direct links, and example of one that isn't would be an affiliate link through Clickbank that in a small fraction of a second hops through Clickbank to make sure the affiliate is recorded as delivering a visitor to a site. The visitor usually never realizes the instantaneous in-direct navigation.
I hope this helps. Anybody: If I've answered anything incorrectly, please correct me!!
I'm still looking for whyparkers to test my company's widget on their parked pages. I'm willing to pay someone just to add our widget for a few week period so we can test how it affects CTR's and revenue. Please contact me if you have domains that are receiving 50+ uniques a day and are interested.
Alan, thanks for the reply. All answered. One more ? that I know shows my newbie label . What is the difference between an indexed and a ranked site on a search engine? Thanks.
