SpaResorts,com
Hello,
what do you think of my new purchase?
Category killer.
GolfResorts.com was sold for 60k in 2005, and is worse.
And we all know of skiresorts.com
Pretty much best available for purchase "resorts" domain on market. Huge market. Huge advertisers. 60+ bids on "spa resorts" keywords competition.
Domain was dropped in 2000. Originally registered on 1996 or before. web.archive tracks back to 1996.
Estibot:

That $140K appraisal is bloated. But it could easily sell in the $XXXX - $XX,XXX range to the right end user.

Beautiful.
$20,000+ reseller
$100k+ end user
And that's not counting PPC revenue. It would be interesting to see what kind of PPC revenue this one produces.
Well done.

Very nice name! I would say it's worth in the Low $xx,xxx range.

Great name! I would guesstimate mid-to-high $xx,xxx. Congrats.

Massive wordtracker, frequency, ppc streams, I'd say mid$XX,xxx as reasonable.

I would'nt say GolfResorts.com is a worse domain, most of the golf resorts are built mainly to do one thing.....sell property !
I think it was a great price but there again I'm a newb
I would'nt have sold it at that price....
EVER .

Good point. I never thought of it that way around.
Anyway I agree that GolfResorts.com is a huge domain, my first thought was that it was no worse than SpaResorts.

I would have appraised at 40K+ but the right end user could justify a much higher price. Very nice domain.

It's for sale by Rick Latona at $150,000 now
Those automated appraisals are useless

I have noticed most of Ricks prices are inflated to start off, and slowly come down over time, but to start off, they are pretty high to what the market is seeing, especially since most of the people who follow the newsletter and involved in auctions, where they can find cheaper domains.

Rick is selling it for what the owner ask him to sell it for. So hard to get tip top $$$ out of a name real fast.
