You could start a Dutch auction in reverse by giving it away for the next 24 hours; then pay some one $1 to take it in the next 24 hours after that; then give them $2 to take in the 24 hours after that etc etc.

It would eventually find a loving home with support money for it for the next 11 months.

Just a thought.
