Custom 403 Error Message for pesky spammers
 

what's on the page? care to explain?

I get hit by spammers, mostly from Nigeria. I block them but they're very resourceful at finding new proxies. So.. I decided to customize the standard 403 denied message. Click the link to see it.

there's a vb customized page that puts out a lot of popups, is this url the same?

No, nothing harmful just a funny message..

The reason weblord may have asked what is there is because you're having your script put out 403 header's to the browser...In IE, you don't see your message, but rather this >>


If you don't mind ( ;) ), so others with IE can see it, I took the liberty of making a copy here: http://nameservice.net/NP/tres-403error.php
Those with other browsers, like FireFox, see your original custom 403 page to begin with.

I recommend a little icon of --- 8-X --- on the page :p

spammers are pesky and very annoying, they won't even get a clue, so i prefer the popups :lol:

Turn off friendly error message in your Internet Explorer options panel..

For IE users, the page emits a high frequency pulse of sound and infrared light to disorient the viewer and then redirects the victim to a paypal donation page where they are forced to donate to the RedCross :)

You are evil...! I sat there for at least a minute!

The difference with spammers is most are spambots therefore the owner of the bot may never get to see that page. Quite funny though.

So either the visitor doesn't have any IQ or you need a better computer to scan it :)
