Hostmonster vs Hostgator?

which one is better? hostmonster or hostgator?

nastyrunner 05-07-2008 03:08 AM

bump!

moonlight77 05-07-2008 07:54 AM

In what way better?

j4l4ni 05-07-2008 08:06 AM

the hostmonster is fine, i didn't try the hostgator.

nastyrunner 05-07-2008 08:30 AM

In every way....for example, service, uptime, speed, etc. As the price difference between them is only 1$ pm, that is, host monster is 1$ pm cheaper.
So is host gator really better than host monster?

Ultimatum 05-08-2008 12:32 AM

I'm sure that there are lots of fans one and other company as well. I haven't try both. But Hostgator.com used to be more known. I think that you can check both yourself. Hostracker + reading reviews. And I think that they are more then huge companies and have thousands of customers and you might be lost there. If I were you I'd consider more companies which are not so huge but love each customer like neowebspace.com or hqhost.net or smallorange.com.
IMO

op should have posted a poll instead.

Ultimatum 05-08-2008 12:58 AM

Ok. I would vote on Hostgator.com then

submissionbay.com 05-08-2008 02:09 AM

+ 1 for Hostgator.com

himanuzo 05-08-2008 03:21 AM

I never try Hostmonster. I personally use Hostgator as web hosting service. I am satisfied with this service. For domain collection service, I am using GoDaddy.

I think that you need to do some work and compare their uptime time of response support etc. Better tracjk their customers web sites.

alemcherry 05-14-2008 09:17 AM

I have tested both. Both are okay, but HG offers better customer support.

Maurizio1230 05-14-2008 09:36 AM

i think hostgator is better

c77 05-18-2008 05:41 PM

I'm use Hostmonster at this time and so far so good, I'm satisfied with uptime and with support too, they also have 24h live chat support. Oh, also with the price too. Never use Hostgator so can't compare with it.

HostGators great, the only down side i ever had with them was with their tos. Someone thought my site broke the rules by posting a brand new proxy link in a blog everyday. (it's not breaking tos). But besides that supports been amazing and had no problems.

rafaelrls 05-20-2008 09:30 AM

Hostmonster is better without doubt.

rhinoz 05-20-2008 07:21 PM

I have over 80 clients hosted at hostgator, never a problem and fast response to any question.

Have never dealt with HostMonster so my opinion is one sided...

jonas20 05-20-2008 07:39 PM

Hostgator has been great for me, I host many clients there

SearchGuru1 05-21-2008 01:59 AM

Hm I thought these sites were affiliated with each other? Or maybe im thinking of another site.

dmi 05-21-2008 02:40 AM

I'd go for Hostmonster.

LucasG 05-21-2008 08:30 PM

I would definitely go for HostGator. It has a great support team and they are very responsive and located in the US with real people 24/7. :)

uzair21 05-29-2008 06:20 PM

Don't go with HostGator. Its real bad. I haven't tried HostMonster yet so I can't say anything about it.

ras0314 06-07-2008 06:07 AM

ashish2005 06-07-2008 10:13 AM

I've only tried hostmonster till now. Hostmonster is great. But hostgator is more popular I guess. Must be of because of their support service but hostmonster's support is not bad either. I think the only thing that separates them is their price.

SearchGuru1 06-08-2008 10:05 AM

I have a quick question, lets see if anyone can answer it. I have hostgator. The first month with all the fees and that I had to pay $13 something for a hatchling account. But then I figured THIS month I would have to pay the $4.95, ya know the price FOR the hatchling account. And well, they sent me an invoice for $8.95 so Im just wondering whats up. I purposely left the money in my account someone gave me cuz it was $5 for this and now its NOT $4.95 lol. Whats up?

NM i figured it out. Apparently I didnt read the fine fine fine print on the site lol
