Well that website is the only .ws that a lot of people would know, and it still isnt even known that much. Also arent there a lot of warez sites and things like that on .ws? I was just giving my honest opinion that I would be suspicious going to any .ws website.
I've never heard of the website you mention but have heard of lots of other .ws sites There are lots of .com sites with spyware on them. Does that make .com a bad extension?
I am struggling to understand your reasoning here. Because one .ws website has spyware on it does not, cannot, should not, make .ws a bad extension

Looking for positive expert feedback from domainers on .ws
I am creating a site to help facilitate the awareness and viability of the .ws extension. One of the things I want to have is positive quotes from highly respected domainers.
If you are interested in participating in this I need:
- a quote of 50 words or less stating any endorsement you wish to make on the .ws extenstion. (I need a variety of types of endorsements so be creative on these.)
- your real first and last name
- your website
- number of domains you own
- number of years domaining
- the three best .ws domains you own
Also, if you have any extra ideas or suggestions for the site or this feedback, send me a pm.
Well shouldnt the fact that I can think of one .ws website tell you that the ccTLD isnt very good? Obviously .com sites also have spyware but they also have a lot more good websites. I think the proportion of "bad" sites is a lot higher in .ws. Anyway it doesnt matter, if a extension gets a lot of end user development then it will become a good extension.
I think the .ws extension is rubbish. I own mobilephone.ws regged back in the beginning. Initially had hoped something would come of the domain and now some 6 years later it's still in the bottom draw waiting for the unlikely event that the tld will gain acceptability outside of western samoa where hitherto there has not been much of a demand for mobile phones !
Things are changing. The development below will make a big difference here
"http://website.ws/faq/index.dhtml
The registry is now allowing .WS domain names to be transferred from registrar to registrar. It seems that most registrars just haven't updated their websites to allow this yet."
Just means there is still some gold out there available for hand register. Though I have noticed a few one-worders coming off my list in the last weeks that I didn't register.
The thing with .ws is a lot of the main words were taken and forwarded to a static marketing sell site. (You'll notice this if you search for a few minutes - most of the dropped .ws still forward to the sites.) They let some very choice names expire - probably didn't have a choice given the sheer volume - and so now just two weeks ago I registered monies.ws, etc.
I also tried to find .ws expiration pages, but besides some old expiry page I didn't see much but a smattering so I don't think much light is being exposed when some of the nice ones are dropping.
Wow $70 for traffic.ws?! I would have gone above that for sure.
Chandan - anytime & thank you.
Domain123 - Great names. I think your patience is going to pay off. You have some gems.
Domba - Really nice name. I think sometimes the two worders are forgot about in the midst of so many good one-worders still available. Onlinebusiness is awesome. I have a similar name - smallbusinesses. If you are developing, these names provide an excellent opportunity to get the exact keyword or phrase you are targeting and work well in terms of SEO.
Edjackiel - I'd keep recruiter and let getaway getaway.
If anybody is interested, here are some availables off my list.
