First i reloaded 2-3 times to see the whole page
Then when i reached the gallery link i said "fair" design but then i scrolled down and i saw a plain text file
Looks like 2 different pages to me
Try to push the design down to the page
Better
With another font set i think will be even better
You must "break" the monotony of the text
Consider put some images or clipart between the text
Some quick suggestions I have for you,
The first would be your header - I think it's too big of a file! Even on my high speed connection, it took a while to load. You could probably optimize it in a different format.
Other then that, it's a nice simple site to read up on the internet.
Yes, I used black text, but a lot of people told me that it's hard to read.
One of the problems for the poor speed is the free server that is used - there's a lot of ads and I'm planning to change it. I can also reduce the size of the images.
IMO everything just seems to spaced out. The nave bar looks really really big and the header seems really big.
If you need help with the design of site, go to google and type in "Free CSS Templates". This is an easy way to get great templates for free that you can modify and make your own. Very easy especially when you are on a tight butget for design. Content is great!
For starters, you should move on from free web hosts. You can get a domain and space with no ads for quite a small amounts. Cheapest packages I've seen have been some 20 €.
I don't have much to add what people have said earlier here... but yeah, the header is way too big. On 1280x768 resolution that's pretty much all you get when the site opens.
Also, about the content. I think the idea of your site should be pointed out a little better.. I mean, "this is site x and we do this and that" or something similar. I guess it's quite obvious already, but a few words about the site itself would be nice, if you know what I mean.
The color scheme in general looks a little naive. A "strong" blue like that on a white background seems a little irritating to me.
I don't mean to discourage you or anything, you have a good start there, just some improvements and you are there
Looks much better. You should put a side bar in there with some ads and navigation. Then the text would not look so expansive across the page. Put affiliate ads from web hosts and things like that.
if you look at my Predict the lottery site in my sig you will see a navigation menu and a google skyscraper ad, that is what i mean by a side bar. Something that gives the page more substance and allows more space for other things than text. You might even consider 2 side bars, one on each side. Fill them with relevent ads, affiliate links, and do link exchanges with similar sites. Trust me it will make the site look better at the same drive traffic and revenue
