I appreciate your honesty. Please feel free to create an account at the following link: http://www.bqb.com/register.php . I'll make sure it's approved shortly after having been received.
While I have "must have 50+ domains" listed in my sig, it's primarily so I don't get flooded by requests from new Namepros members whom I really don't have time to verify unfortunately. I'm only approving about 1 in 5 apps from people who either don't have (or don't bother listing) 50 domains, so for the most part I'm doing this group a favor by telling them to not bother applying. In comparison, it's more like 4 out of 5 apps for members with 50+ domains which I can verify to be owned by them.
It's a cost effective way to moderate the quality of signups -- get them to give you 50+ domains which display the info they signed up with, verify their email if using a custom domain (do a registrant search through Domain Tools either way), read posts/threads at Namepros (and/or other forums including non-domaining), look into the value of any transactions they've done in the past, look into who they've bought/sold/traded with in the past, etc.
If the person doesn't have a solid iTrader (on this or another domaining board), the person doesn't get approved until I get around to doing the above. I'm perfectly aware that some new members may turn out to be exceptional buyers one day and for that reason I'm allowing new domainers to send in a quality application with a filled in "Why I should be given membership on BQB" field. I've had a couple new domainers with absolutely phenomenal apps in this regard -- giving me plenty of information that I could then verify to make sure they were who they said they were.
50+ domains with a solid iTrader means much less work for me (eg. skipping the above). That said, you certainly fall into the solid iTrader group and it would be a pleasure to have you on BQB
If I can verify someone's identity accurately and have reason to believe they will be an honest member, I'll allow them on BQB regardless of how many domains they own, provided I can get a reasonable "history" about them either via Namepros (eg. iTrader or hundreds of quality posts) or Google. The unfortunate thing is that there are only so many hours in a day and for every 1 or 2 members I take the time to verify, I'm letting about 10 go unanswered.
The best of these denied applications will often email me indicating their continued interest in BQB -- I've had several members do this and this is important imho if a new member is going to be accepted when I have no way to verify their identity. If they take the time to write a few properly worded paragraphs, it goes a long ways towards convincing me that I should perhaps reevaluate my initial decision.
That was longer than I intended -- my apologies.
Short answer: Send me a pm with the username you sign up with and I'll make sure it gets approved.
A new address verification option will be unveiled in late June -- this will hopefully better protect existing members and allow BQB to accept members not meeting the rigid requirements currently in place (with the requirement that they be both Paypal (or Moneybookers) Verified and Address Verified).
Thanks so much Reece (By the way, it's the former JrsDirectory) I signed up under the username "Asmro", so just please accept me Thanks a lot! Appreciate it!
This is tempting Reece, i think i should sabotage my own auction (if there was a way)
I didn't like how Sedo treated this auction, they should make money but they must give also fair chances to everyone. They burry some auctions and highlight others when they could re-schedule to give the proper exposure.
If you site was for other domain types too i would transfer all the domains to you but now excluding afternic and sedo for auctions that leaves me with tdnam (which is not my favorite either)
Hi
Great site, no doubt about that.. but i just wanted to know why do all auctions have 1 month period?????
I am sorry but its very annoying to see that the auction ends after 1 month!!!!
I guess BQB, must have 7 days as the max limit (or something of such sort)
Just an Opinion.....
anyways great site, will be puttting my 4 letter domains when i think the time is right!!!
Membership has slowed down a bit, but is still growing at about 5 or so a day. At that pace BQB should have 1000 members in about 5 months. I think 1000 quality members should be more than enough to see comparable prices under most circumstances to what would be found at Sedo, Afternic, or TDNAM -- at least when you account for the no commission advantage.
According to Alexa, the average BQB visitor is looking at 5.2 pages compared to just 4.0 at Afternic, 3.2 at Sedo, and 2.2 at TDNAM (over the last week) -- it's not even up for debate that on average BQB's members are more into domaining.
If you take out the obvious 1 page attributed to any website (example -- just going to the site), the results are even more dramatic -- 4.2 for BQB versus 3.0 for Afternic, 2.2 at Sedo, and 1.2 at TDNAM.
Something interesting -- BQB actually has a considerably better Alexa rank than
